All in all a good logic experience. It would be nice to have some electric vehicle chargers like at other Holiday inn Express locations. But this is a new, clean, and very well appointed hotel. Extremely friendly staff. And daily housekeeping. For that they're getting a five-star service review

This was a very nice and new Holiday Inn Express. We enjoyed our one night stay here as we visited the Redwoods. My husband enjoyed the hot tub. Nice comfortable beds, good service, typical HI Ex breakfast, very clean. There were several places to eat nearby- we ate at the Mod Pizza for lunch in a shopping center down the street. An added plus was the Costco right next to the hotel! We got cheaper gas and bought Caesar salads at their snack bar to eat in the room for dinner. As seniors who like to hibernate after a tiring day of travel, that was perfect!

We stay at a lot of Holiday Inn express hotels on our travels and I have to say that, This was perhaps the most beautiful beautiful hotel of all of them. It’s very modern up-to-date. Staff was friendly and easy to work with, the room was very accommodating and comfortable. We had enough outlets to accommodate our USB ports and chargers and I love the fact that we had a sink and a counter in the suite. The refrigerator was roomy enough to store my cooler items and even a little freezer. Breakfast was great as well. Love the cinnamon rolls. And there are enough restaurants around for us to choose from. I also like the idea that they had a list of recommended restaurants. I also liked that the parking lot was fenced in comma, which made it difficult for others to see our cars or be tempted to break in.|The only problem we had was that the staff accidentally booked our room with for somebody else after we were here and when the guest tried to enter when we were in our night clothes. It was a shock for both of us. They straightened that out, but it was an embarrassing moment. And then the next morning we were locked out of our room because apparently they changed the keys. They fixed it, but I do believe that the staff needs to be very careful to double check and make sure they’re not double booking a room. Other than that, we had a very good day.

Having driven around most of the other hotels, I didn't feel safe leaving our vehicle in those areas. This hotel is in a much safer location, conveniently next to a Costco.

Hotel is very clean, with a nice modern lobby. Staff check-in were pretty funny, accidentally misunderstanding a room request for 2 adults as 2 hours (which would be a much different type of hotel!).

The room is spotless, the pool and hot tub areas are clean (though quite dark). Definitely would be my first choice to stay if passing through Eureka again. And the best breakfast I've had at a Holiday Inn Express - it's really good.

This stay did not meet my expectations for a holiday inn. The bed was like sleeping on a board, 5 days later I am still having back pain. I also have an issue with no USB ports in the room and having the coffee maker located in the bathroom.Check in was easy besides the extra 100$ charge to my card that remains pending. After calling the hotel I was informed that it should be reversed in 10 business days. I was informed at check in of a 20 dollar incidental fee. I was not informed of the 100$ charge big surprise on my bank statement. They also charge a 50$ reservation fee, that has been processed and refunded. The hotel was quiet but this is the worst stay regarding comfort and price. Will not be staying here again.

Not the best experience here, there was a mistake in booking that was mine in selecting the wrong date on their calendar system but when I arrived they dinged me a whole nights stay for shifting my arrival date (the place was empty so they had plenty of rooms, no harm no foul IMO) the rooms were clean and new but there wasn't a single USB charge port in the rooms, in the breakfast/lounge area nor in the business/computer nook😕 What gives? It's like a $30 item.

This is a business area in a somewhat modern town with Cal Poly Humboldt right down the road, I don't think I've been in a hotel/motel in the last few years that didn't have charge ports in the room much less in the lounge area. The parking was pretty limited even though the occupancy was light for a weekend so there must be some off site parking somewhere.There is a good breakfast place (Adel's) within walking distance and it was relatively quiet at the hotel.

The shower/tub didn't have an anti-slip floor so be careful getting in and out and please use the hand rail.

Clean but dated hotel, no USB ports in room, bed is very hard, coffee maker located in the bathroom. 170$ in extra fees on top of the room rate. Informed that it would be 10 days for the reversal to receive the deposit, reservation fee and incidental fee to be returned. Definitely will not stay here again.

Stayed three nights as a base for the Red Woods and the Norcal coast. Great checkin, chatty and smart. Told us about the hotel and fully acknowledged our stays. They upgraded us to a suite, which was appreciated. Room was clean, large and comfortable. Unfortunately, no safe in room, which was a pain as we had to carry our valuables around. ||Bathroom was large with an over bath shower. It was a good shower with Dove toiletries. Nice towels.||Bed was comfortable with nice linen, providing a great sleep.||Nice basic breakfast, whole hotel was very clean with sociable staff||Eureka is an interesting place, however, this hotel is a great base for exploring.
