I had a great experience at this hotel during a quick business trip. The location was ideal, with easy parking and a quick check-in process. The room was well-equipped—a comfortable bed, a spacious work area, and a larger-than-usual mini-fridge with a microwave.

The standout feature was the shower—one of the best I’ve ever had. The water pressure was incredible—like a power washer, it blasted the shampoo right out of my hair in seconds.

The breakfast was excellent, offering great value. Overall, this stay exceeded expectations, and I’ll definitely be choosing Best Western more often in the future.

I stayed here two nights while in Palo Alto for business. It is a nice place! The area seems pretty nice even though it is right on a road on which cars can go faster and thus will be louder. They do provide ear plugs if you want. The rooms are a good size and well maintained. The staff are friendly and courteous.

No complaints! I'd stay here any time!

I LOVED my stay at the Best Western Plus- Riviera. I am Handicapped and require an accessible bathroom with a shower. The room was clean and well maintained. The staff were A1, making my stay very enjoyable.

Loved the shower design with amazing water pressure! Room was clean, comfortable and modern. Oversized mini fridge was a huge plus. Didn't realize ac was under the sink, went out and came back to a warm room. Once we figured it out and opened the vents, it cooled off just fine. Breakfast they had omelets, potatoes and sausage patties and was better than most hotels I've stayed at. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Big thank you for that. Have front balcony tables with 2 chairs in front of each room which was a neat touch. Ate breakfast outside of our room, it was really enjoyable. Overall, this place is a little gem and wouldn't hesitate to stay again. I rarely write reviews, but they deserved it, so I took some time to share my experience.

I travel from the East Coast into Palo Alto frequently to visit my 92 year old widowed Mom. For decades I have stayed in various hotels in/around Palo Alto, from the high-end ones to the more budget-friendly ones. For my last 4 day stay, I stumbled into this hotel on the internet, and it is the best value anyone could hope for. Uber-reasonable room rates compared to other hotels in the area, which caused me to fear beforehand that it'd be dirty or run-down. But boy was I in for a pleasant surprise! It is not a fancy place, but it is very well maintained/updated. Bed was nicely, comfortable made with sheets and covers which seemed very clean, bathroom was very clean, nice big TV in there, fluffy clean-smelling towels, new Keurig coffee maker with 3 caffeinated and 2 decaf pods supplied along with various tea selections. The wall ac/heater is new and works great, with wall controls that actually seem to get it to do what you wanted to do (it was 40's at night, so wanted little bit of heat, 60's during the day so not so much). Every member of the staff, from the Samoan-American manager from Hawaii who is hands-on and proud of being his family's second-generation in hospitality management, to the sweet and diligent Mexican-American cleaning ladies who did their jobs so well and good naturedly allowed me to practice my Spanish with them and answered my questions about vocabulary and pronunciation). Last, but not least, I want to compliment the tall slender woman who on a daily basis cooks, puts out the food and with a helpful good nature makes sure everyone is kept happy and helped. The whole dining area is very clean, modern, with everything from containers with not-overcooked and fresh scrambled eggs or mini-omelets. I've stayed in a lot of hotels and sampled more than a few included free-breakfasts, but this one was amazing for the relative size of the cute little hotel. I've been raving about this place since then, particularly my three siblings who also travel to from Palo Alto to visit our Mom at a senior living facility just a short ways up Sand Hill Road. PLUS, the location is great. Almost catty-corner to the Stanford Shopping Center, and therefore easy walking distance to the Stanford campus. Walking distance to Safeway. Walking distance to downtown Palo Alto. THIS HOTEL IS THE BEST VALUE FOR MONEY OF ANY PLACE I'VE STAYED IN THE PALO ALTO AREA, OR MAYBE ANY AREA.

Good location, a nice walk to downtown where there is lots to do. A nice restaurant/tavern across the street, too. Rooms are loud, close to the road so lots of traffic noise. Also, the floors aren't carpeted so you can hear guests walking in rooms above you. Complimentary breakfast offers many options and is a nice way to start the day. The breakfast staff were friendly and nice.

They give you plenty of towels, the room was very clean, the bed was comfortable and the room was not in need of any repairs like some of the hotels my husband and I have stayed in this year. We decided to become Best Western Reward members after some of the dirty run down places that we ended up in!

Room okay, clean and housekeeping done daily. Breakfast is a standard menu. Managerial staff very helpful. However traffic noise is very loud even inside the room. The rates are extremely high, over 350 a night for a motel type hotel where the rooms face an open noisy street into El Camino Real. Please adjust your rates in line with the property, this is at best a 2.5 star.
