Bro. I just rang their bell at 8:30 at night. (I am not a resident just wanted some water.). Said may I please have some water. The lady was extremely rude. Refused to give me drinking water from a bathroom 10fr away in a cup with ice I had from a gas station.......water dude.......she doesn't know if I'm homeless or not. 😂. She just refused water flat out with a nasty attitude. I think Boulders homeless issue starts with a revamping of the uncaring staff. Drinking water refused. 🤔 Horrible human. Bout it.

I've been homeless various times off and on in my life. Earlier this year I spent a couple months staying at the Boulder shelter. I feel it was the best, by far, homeless shelter I've been to.

The food was good, the environment clean, and surprisingly the environment was pretty safe for the most part I felt.

I also really appreciate how staff was decent there. I was treated respectfully for sure.

At the age of 64, out of 16 trys# only got in four times, it's dangerous out here with all these outer staters hanging around. Please reconsider letting women come in regardless of the number they pull. Boulder 64 years, work 48 of those years, I do not belong outside, housing seems to be at a standstill never-ending waiting list.

Hi to anyone who reads this , I have read through most of these reviews and must say it makes me sad to know that so many people feel they have been let down . I am looking to volunteer here and wanted to ask if
You had left feeling like it was a helpful experience , or somone had said , listened or given what you really needed what would that have been or looked like ?

They don't care about anybody everybody there is on drugs and they just let them be drugged up or drunk all the time they treat you like garbage, the food isn't fit for the dogs. Staff members are the worst they say one thing to you and then the other one says something different. I stay there but am getting moved to the Longmont shelter instead. There's nothing going about this shelter only drugs, weed, meth, alcohol a safe heaven for drug dealers. I'm Angel Macias and what I'm saying is facts

Viral Encephalitis Rampant.

Meningitis Ravaging everyone.

Maggots moving in the coffee in the mornings.

People dying or dead probably daily.

Staff is complicit and responsible for these deaths.

Stench of filth and death in the air in the entire facility that will stick to your clothes and mind.

Locked public transportation bus windows to and from the concentration camp.

Visible neurological symptoms on the majority of people.

Cold water for showers. No hot water for anyone at any spigot not even for the medical staff. No ETA on a fix for months. This is illegal.

Hand sanitizer available not effective for viruses.

Sleeping on bare mattress with one blanket no cover for the mat so you’re not sleeping. But they provide free sleeping pills!

No housing for anyone unless you are groomed by the clients pretending to be homeless to be literal predators.

Most of the people drive cars who stay here?

Go see for yourself.

The first night is free.

Shut it down.

Get them quarantined.

Now.

0 stars if I could…

If you come here, get a job, engage with your case manager to find housing and just follow the simple common sense rules, they will help you. Very fair but firm staff members there to assist you in getting back on your feet.
Edit: also if you end up finding family or friends to live with, hit up Coordinated Entry, they will pay for your ticket home very quickly!

If you can avoid this place. The entire building smells like meth every minute of every second of every day. But some staff members can be helpful at times, if they feel like you've suffered enough. And the staff members prefer clients that let people do and say whatever they want to them
