Recently I took advantage of the 50% sale of Benjamin Moore sample paints at Ace Hardware. I knew exactly what color I needed before arriving but once I was surrounded by hundreds of shades, confusion immediately set in. Holly helped quickly and then realized Ron would be "the perfect guy" for what I wanted. They were so awesome, I came back the next day and bought MORE of the luscious colors I wanted to sample. James was great too. Neil wrapped things up and Fenn closed the sale. Thanks Ace. Other outlets are closer to my house but if you need expert tips on paint colors, I highly recommend this store. Lori was was absolutely incredible! She helped from finding a nail cutter to getting the perfect paint! What an amazing experience! We have an Ace that is 1 might away from our house but because of this experience I will drive the text miles to just come here!

You know, when you have a project that you really need good customer service on, this is the place to go. I had a very nice crib, with no hardware. David helped me right away and we found exactly what I needed. Additionally, he helped me carry the big pieces that I had brought with me out to the car. I just love Ace hardware!

I don’t do reviews but I have to for this one. I have been coming to Ace for the last couple years and there hasn’t been one time that I haven’t been helped with whatever project I’m working on-from painting to plumbing and everything in between. Ron is the absolute BEST there! There isn’t a thing that I’ve asked him that he didn’t know what to do. He’s always eager to help and actually knows me on a first name basis. If I could give him a 10 star rating I would!! The rest of the team is super knowledgeable and always kind as well.

Tried to have a duplicate key made here and of course I get home and it won't work. The kid that was trying to copy it seemed confused like he didn't receive any training. It took him about 20 minutes to copy one key and then it doesn't even work. Big inconvenience and waste of my time. Ace Hardware has lost my business as I don't have time to keep returning to the store and waiting for them to learn how to do their job. It's a simple key come on guys train your employees

This review is for the knife sharpening in the back of the store. I just wasted $50 on them sharpening five knives; I have some high-quality knives made in Germany, been using them for years, I always have them professionally sharpened.

I just picked them up from Ace, and was shocked at how bad the sharpening is. As you can see in the videos, you can barely cut through a thin piece of paper, i.e. the receipt! I even compared it to a brand new one that I bought. My old knife sharpening guy would make these so sharp they were like they were brand new.

When I brought these in, they were about a four out of ten, and now they are maybe a six. Yes, they are sharper than they were when I brought them in, but nowhere near what I wanted. I know this place also sharpens lawnmower blades, maybe they use the same stone. and they can’t blame the steel, these are all made in Germany and I’ve been using them for years, and after sharpening are actually pretty dangerous to cut with.

I guess I’ll save my money next time and just use my own whetstone. Honestly, I was just lazy and could have done these myself, and better, but was lazy. Now I learned my lesson, and it was expensive. I paid $50 for this?

I want to give this review one star, but I can’t just specify the knife sharpening area, and not the whole store. I don’t have an issue with the store.

update: management did contact me and refunded me for the poor sharpening. Thank you.

Today 12/15/24 I visited the store for a couple of small items, I like Ace hardware over on this day The person that helped me was obviously sick sniffling constantly and really shouldn't be working when you're sick like that. I ignored that got my items tried to stay away from him as much as I could. Then I proceeded to go to check out. Greeted by the only checker they had she was sniffling consistently it's like all the employees in the store are sick and no one's telling them to go home.

The people were kind enough and nice enough but they shouldn't be out in public working when they're sick like that especially this close to Christmas I'm going to be pissed if I get sick before Christmas!

Lori exhibited amazing customer service. I called ahead about a pellet grill and she found it for me and had it already out back ready for pick up within 15 min. She helped me find additional attachments and anything else I needed.
