Everything was normal, until my daughter and got greeted too man times , continue to talk around and shop around the store , I was greeted once again . Continue out and picked up a couple of items two ladies were standing at the end of the aisle I seen one say she put something in her pocket , then the other proceeded to walk up and say your daughter put something pink into her pocket it was her coin purse. Very rude , unprofessional, racially profiling. So we just walked out .

This is a Hidden Gem I've lived in Bakersfield 3 years and did not know it was here until I Googled the beauty supplies. There is a big selection of synthetic and human hairs plenty of wigs and other tools for installation there's even a great selection of hair color including Manic Panic and Sparks. Not a very big selection of beads for braiding but a decent selection of beads for dreads. They keep the latch hooks in the crochet hooks for installations behind the counter so you'll have to ask for them.

HONEST REVIEW: This the place to go!! They have a good variety and the prices are about as reasonable as beauty supplies will be. I haven’t found any place as good overall.
Note: if you linger they will keep eyes on to make sure its no funny business but if you don’t do nothing they won’t do nothing 😂

I’m disappointed to share this … because it’s the closest hair store I can reach at the moment and live close by wanted to see if I like it and save trips and honestly … this store made me sooooooooooooo madddddd uncomfortable when I say uncomfortable I felt the watch vibe it was soooooo thick in the air everyone was quiet at the register it’s like yea I see yall had lots of theft going on but why make it noticeable and make your customers uncomfortable to shop ? Thats what you have cameras for and security… little Asian little skinny lady walking pass looking through the wall spaces and it’s like I was off work first day I’m always rushing with my job so I wanna take my time had no kids with me shopping I couldn’t even relax felt more I stayed I was getting watched made me feel I had to know what I want buy it and go they made me feel soooooooo uncomfortable and I will never return there i will stick to my 15 min drives to other hair store and I could bring up an incident when I was on my way out … but it’s ok it’s not even worth it that’s what kinda made me feel degraded …

The most demoralizing experience I ever had!!
I was excited to find this store because I am new to the city .The first visit I had I thought they were following me around because they wanted to give me great customer service .But the second time the Pettit lady was following me around and spying on me.I didn’t notice at first because I was on the phone.But then I found her picking for the other corner of the store multiple times.even my kids noticed that . The funny thing is I couldn’t find an item I was looking for and ask the spying lady to help me find it ( since she is always around me ) for my surprise she didn’t know what it was and she told me to ask the person at the register.
They do have good collections of hair and hair products but so is Amazon . For next time I make sure I will never step my foot in to that store. Thanks God for Amazon !!

I shopped here about a little over a yr ago and the service was great. I had gone back to purchase an item about 3 months ago and was followed around the store and treated as if I were stealing. I figured the staff may of just been having a terrible day that day and went on with my shopping. I went back again today with my kids and deliberately watched the staff follow my daughter from aisle to aisle who was looking to purchase her own makeup meanwhile another staff lady shouted at my 5 yr old son to stay away from the entrance of the wig podium. The staff was disrespectful and sadly treats its customers as if they were POTENTIAL THIEVES & is NOT KID FRIENDLY. So I left them my items & suggested that they have a great day, as I will not be shopping here again.
