We moved into the area fairly recently, and started looking for a local church to join. First Lavaca took us in and made us feel right at home immediately. We have been here for nearly 1 year now and already feel like we are part of a family. The pastor keeps your attention with sermons that always seem to hit home on a personal level. His teachings not only help us to grow closer to God and have a better understanding of his word. They also provide a means to help better handle our worries and troubles, as he provides scripture on how to best tackle these issues. His wife and children stand tall beside him, bright and smiling. They put A LOT of focus on the children. When we going together singing God's praises, it feels like we are at a concert every week, as Josh and his crew lead us in song. Billy and Shanda Carter have been an anchor to us with their sincerely friendly greetings every week. We already consider them our beloved friends.

My geometry teacher in high school recommended joining the youth group when I was a sophomore. I was bullied by almost everyone here was threaten at least twice that five people who going to jump me. The youth pastor who was my geometry teacher said husband didn’t like me and also had an affair with a girl that just graduated. Stuff like this is why only I have Lavaca, but why I think church goers are the worst. That’s also why my relationship with god is between me and him and I don’t to please anyone one of than him.
