The Gashee website is not functioning well. About a month ago I ordered Repunzel, which was supposed to last for a couple of months. It lasted me about 3 weeks even though I did not use the product every day on my scalp. I decided to give it another try. I was constantly inundated by emails from the company offering 15-20 % discounts on my next order. None of the discount codes worked, I tried them several times. Eventually a few days before Christmas I was able to place an order just for the little bottle of Rapunzel. To my surprise, my final online order showed 2 different items even though I only wanted one. For some strange reason, it added automatically another product "Magestic" which I did not need for my sensitive scalp. Naturally, I was trying to cancel this item I did not want to order, but it was unsuccessful on the website. I tried the chat option, which did not work either. There was no phone number with a live person to communicate with either.  I  sent an email message to customer service to which I got an email reply 2 days later, apparently by then it was not possible to change my order, but I had the option of sending the box back. It was the evening of the 24th of Dec when I got an entire box needlessly with all the shenanigans, a new gift box, a derma roller, etc. I never asked for the gift box or the roller. Even the first roller ended up in the garbage because I had no need for that. It was already too late for me to send the shipment back because on Christmas day nothing was open. I left California a day later. It would have been too expensive to send the box back through the border since the company did not offer free return waybills, unlike some other internet-based commercial sites do. Since I was stuck with it, I tried the Magestic "styling"? gel that created an unremovable wax coating on my hair. I was only able to remove this sticky varnish with high-solvent dish soap.

I purchased the botanical hair lotion July 26, 2022. The bottle I received expired 1 month prior to my purchase. When I contacted the seller I received the response below

-------
Thank you for your email. We are aware of the expiration date printed at the bottom of the bottle, however we have extended the expiration date based on stability testing performed to last another year. We are happy to refund you for the product if you would like to return it. We can issue the refund as soon as the package is received. Please let me know if you have any questions.

------
I chose this product because I found it in a research article. If you are struggling with CCCA, you know there is very little info on products backed by research available to the public. I'm struggling to find words to articulate my disappointment. The product consistency is different from anything I've seen (grainy). My inquiry went unanswered. When I asked about the expiration date, I was shocked by the the response. If they are being thruthful about researching the stability of the product why didn't they change the date on the bottle or include a note before shipping it out? The post fact response decreased their credibility with me.
It was their error. Should the customer pay return shipping on an expired product?

Why did I continue to use it?
CCCA is awful. I want my hair. Maybe this product will work for me. Unhappy with the customer service but wanting to belive their vow to "do no harm" is at least equal to the desire to make a profit, I continued to use the product. Sadly, the amount of hair in my brush and on the floor increased. Long and short hairs indicating shedding and breakage had increased.
The really sad part is I will forever wonder if fresh ingredients work better than expired ones. I haven't ordered a new bottle (or any of the other products) because I've lost confidence in their integrity. Are they packaging old ingredients with new (false) expiration dates?
