Black people. Do not patronize this store. I stopped here moments ago to purchase two hair picks for my afro. I noticed a young Black Female receptionists following me.

While smelling Tea Tree shampoo that I was going to purchase with the picks in hand she stated, "YOU CAN'T SMELL THE ITEMS"!!!!

I have a sensitive scalp and skin, so I must smell my shampoos and conditioners before hand as those with highly scented perfume break me out.

So, I returned the 3 items to the shelf and spoke to the Black Female manger about the situation. Her response was "YOU CAN LEAVE THEN"!

I responded with, 'As two Black women you should be ashamed. You've allowed your Asian owners to train you to mistrust Black customers within this Underserved Community of Color".

It was my mistake though. I only went their because those sisters are employees, but sadly they are a product of their environment as their house has trained them to mistreat their own race.

Therefore I am headed to a Black owned establishment to make these purchases. I

Great selection, customer service, and customer loyalty program!

Prices everywhere are slightly higher than anyone likes. It's no different at this location but loyalty points are easy to earn and use so that helps. It's been my experience that stores like these are at the top of their game when owners identify with or are members of the community served. That is not the case here but they are more than culturally competent. The staff does a really good job meeting the needs of a diverse complement of customers. And I don't remember any specific time when I couldn't find what I needed among the stocked products.

Been a HAIR STAPLE for my Grandmom, my mom, ME, & now my girls...let's say "the Hairsto on B-Way is like a Family Standards our way!" Prices are competitive & the ladies running the store are friendly, fun 2 be around, & knowledgeable. I would recommend a visit every now. Also they are CLEAN! The hair never smells funny which is GRADE A+

DO NOT SHOP HERE !! First let’s just go over the fact that they don’t do refunds, that’s the biggest red flag there. Two, they charged my card twice for a purchase I made the day before. I went to request a refund and got the run around. Still never received a refund. Plus, their customer service is TRASH. And their products are VERY over priced. I highly recommend the Discount Beauty on down Roosevelt. They are family owned, very friendly, and have great customer service. They even give out the best discounts even if it’s your first time.
