I had an appointment at 5 pm with Jaime for Botox. Immediately, she started telling me how much I need which was 69 units in my forehead and around my eyes. I explained to her that I’m sensitive and don’t require that much. She said, if I don’t do it then she’s not going to treat me and she started degrading where I’ve had Botox in the past by saying it was diluted. I said lets talk about doses. I’ve never had more than 5 units in my glabellar. She slipped up and said, I’m not making $50 bucks and then stumbled all over herself trying to correct what she just said. I explained that I wanted more than that muscle but I don’t require as much as she’s recommending and I asked why can’t I have the amount that works for me? She stated, you are a walking billboard for me and you either do it my way or not at all and I’m not going to treat you today. I said, wow, this is weird and stood up out of my chair and wished her a good evening and merry Christmas. My appointment was at 5 pm and she canceled my appointment at 5:01 pm. She’s very unprofessional, rude and I recommend she listen to her patients before she causes harm. I’ve never in 14 years have I ever had that much Botox. I am a RN and believe treatment should be conservative and believe in the practice that you can always add more in a few weeks but you can’t take it away once it’s done. I’ve had Botox in several amazing offices including Dr. Mike Shin in Hanford, Dr. Mark Chin in Fresno, Belissima in Bakersfield and have had beautiful results everytime. And none of these offices, including the board certified plastic surgeon, Dr Chin have they ever recommended this much Botox. This is the only time I’ve ever been treated with the utmost disrespect and unprofessionalism. In retrospect, I dodged a bullet. Nurses should NEVER administer more medication than necessary.
