The room was small, but comfy, with a lovely view of the surrounding area. Buena Vista is a pretty mountain town, so the view was excellent.

The Riverhouse exceeded our expectations. We were on the 2nd floor which worried me but because of the way the house sits on a hill we only had to take our luggage up half a flight of stairs. The room was comfortable with a nice view. We had water and good breakfast food provided. We had good communications with our host via texting. We enjoyed Ptarmigan trail and watching the water park play in and around Buena Vista.

My husband and I loved staying here. It was affordable, great location for white water rafting, very clean, and is surrounded by beautiful mountains - what more could you ask for?

Additionally, I love that this is a local business and shout out to the innkeeper Brenda. She was so helpful, responsive and honestly just came across as a kind person (a treat these days and not always a given!!). She gave us great recommendations, how to avoid tourist traffic, etc. We will be staying here during any future trips to Buena Vista. Highly recommend!

We enjoyed our weekend very much, lots to see in nearby Buena Vista. The location was a little hard to find as it is behind a rafting company. The owner is very kind. Every morning, we had a breakfast basket with local baked goods and fruit.
The room was clean with our own private bath. There are no keys to mess with, just lock codes that are changed with every new guest. The place has an enclosed hot tub. It wasn't working during our stay, but we aren't hot tub people anyway. The Arkansas River is right by the house with a trail leading to it. Overall, the value is there if you want an experience outside of the normal hotel.

We had the most wonderful time here! Easy, convenient, super clean, and the staff was very friendly. If you want to go whitewater rafting use their company The Adventure Company, you just walk outside your room and there you are ! We will be back !

I don't know what a Shifman mattress is suppose to be, but the mattress in the Princeton room was so bad, that I slept on the floor, while my husband tossed and turned the whole night.
Location was not great either.

We stayed at this lodge for an evening after a rafting trip with The Adventure Company (highly recommend this guide). The accommodations here are fantastic! The room was very clean, beds were comfortable and access to the common space was definitely a plus. Brenda, the innkeeper, was just wonderful and my boys loved playing with her dog! This location is just a gem in the BV area, would highly recommend!! Be sure to stop by Station 24 Cafe for a delicious breakfast and coffee!
Buena Vista is just a gorgeous mountain town. We spent several hours in town that evening, enjoying the local parks and ice cream shop.

If there were 10 stars, I'd give them 10! This place is incredible!! Beds were surprisingly comfortable, clean, convenient, stunning outdoor areas, and Brenda was the cherry on top. Thank you for the wonderful memories!
