Omgosh! Emily has Arrived! Emily is very skilled with both hair styling and coloring, and it is so obvious that she has received years of professional training in a large metropolis. I have been looking for a stylist and a colorist to help for years — searching in Santa Fe and los Alamos. So very happy with the hair styles Ive received — they’re just not “hair cuts” and the color line Emily uses causes none of that temporary though embarrassing staining on my hair line (a major plus because I can return to work), no eventual itching or brittle hair. Oh and Emily Listens to my requests. I appreciated Emily’s professionalism without the aloofness. I highly recommend. (In 6 decades this is the first time Ive written a review for a hair stylist.)

I have only been in the area for a few months and was having a difficult time making it into Albuquerque to get my hair done. I had been using my hair girl for 4 years and was so hesitant to change stylists. I recently went in for a free consultation regarding my hair color. Megan was very attentive to my concerns and gave great suggestions. When I went in for my appointment I was very nervous, since I have thinning and damaged hair due to years of doing color and highlights. Megan understood and we reviewed everything and started the process.

Beauty Chem and Co has been my go-to salon in Los Alamos for the past couple of years. They provide a great service, have great hours for folks who work during the usual 9-5 time period, and have always been very communicative about scheduling issues. The staff is super nice and super knowledgeable about hair care and hair supplies, and are always keen to make their customers comfortable in their salon. Would happily recommend to anyone in the LA/WR area looking for a dependable salon that is also affordable and great to work with.

We booked as new customers with Megan for a dramatic multilayer vivid color session for my teen daughter. We visited for a short consult a week before, and Megan was so helpful and professional. This was for color or some previously colored hair and she really took the time to make sure we got the color we wanted. The results were gorgeous. Megan was also very welcoming to us as new customers and was very clear about how much time the appointment would take.
