Poor communication from this location. I left a screen to be repaired and it took me longer than I thought to pick it up. They called me to remind me the screen was ready maybe 3 weeks before I went to pick it up, and that was all that was stated on the call, just a reminder. I go to pick it up and find out they threw it away without ever giving a verbal heads up that they were going to throw it away, even on the call. They will not replace the screen or allow me to pay the repair price for a replacement. Have to pay almost double the price for a new one. Staff was friendly and professional, I just feel they could have communicated that they were going to discard my window screen a lot better. This is something that should be verbally stated to customers so there is a clear understanding, and I feel this was not done. Very unsatisfied with the service at this store in this instance.

I went to buy a fitting to a new water line that I was adding to my kitchen and they pretty much dont have any of what I need it, It was a mess around this plumbing area, a bunch of parts everywhere even of the floor or top of the shelving, all small drawers where they supposed to be were empty and seems that they are not restocking this area really often because I was there a week ago and they were the same way.

Good luck finding anything. 4 people working in there but they were to busy eating popcorn, surfing their phones or hiding out. Miserable employees. They have a decent selection but don't rely on any help from the counter.

I needed a bolt and nut to secure my ancient bike rack to my car after the original bolt rusted and deteriorated beyond repair. The young man who helped me was very helpful, very patient, and understood that I needed to be sure my bike rack wouldn't fall off and be unsafe on the road. I work in transportation for the state and I know that if my bike rack fell off it could be dangerous or possibly fatal for someone following me.

I wish that I had asked his name and hope he will recognize himself in this review and the owner will ask around. My receipt says 3:28 p.m. today 6/13/23.

For anything hardware that Ace stocks, definitely go to Big John's Ace before "No Help Lowe's".

I had 5 very positive customer service experiences today. When the friendly checker at Target later said "Have a great day " my response was "I'm already having one!" Thank you Big John's, REI bike mechanics, Amy's nail salon, Marshall's, and the public library. Five great customer service experiences in one day. Wait... I also had a positive phone conversation with my health insurance Rx folks, so rare. Loving it!

Thank you Ace Guy whose name I should have learned. You are a gem.
