The gentleman who helped us was extremely kind and helpful! Back in September 2023 we came to shop for silver jewelry and found this shop to be very unique! Loved how the owner was very welcoming to my family and gave us a fair price for silver. Staff was also sweet with us. He got out pieces for us to try on and look at. I ended up buying necklaces and rings from here and they are still beautiful and shiny. We had a wonderful experience at Chimayo with Dan as our guide. He is the go to guy of all thing's Native American. The cuff jewelry selection is just what I needed to add to my growing turquoise collection. I purchased 2 cuff's and the girl's purchased 2 sets of beautiful Opal earings. Dan repairs jewelry also. Go figure.
We went to a couple different places to have a look see at their product and found a big mark up. So happy to have gone to Dan's place. History and beautiful selections. Introduced a couple to Chimayo. They too found Dan and made many purchases. So what are you waiting for? Go to Dan for your Christmas needs or just cuz. Tell him Janice and the girl's sent you. The store was full of one-of-a-kind treasures: turquoise, amber, and opal jewelry to name a few of the stones. Beautiful Native American pieces of art also. Very helpful and knowledgeable sales people. I'm looking forward to going back.

You won't find a better shop with such a knowledgeable owner anywhere. Knows everything there is to know about turquoise, and can identify the mines turquoise pieces came from. His selection of old silver and turquoise pieces of jewelry (and new) and such is better than selections I've seen in shops in New Mexico over the years. Not just that, but he is an extraordinarily skilled silversmith; I've had several pieces fixed by him, and they are perfect. Stop in to Dan's shop and see his selection of jewelry, among MUCH else, you won't be disappointed.
