You need to be prepared to spend at least a couple of hours every time you are treated here. Each person does one specific thing, and they will shuffle you back to a waiting room to wait another 20 to 30 minutes to see the next person, who will send you back to the waiting room again. Over and over. They are consistently over scheduled and the doctor will not be ready when the preliminaries are finished. No consideration for patients whatsoever.

Be prepared to wait. Waited half hour to see doc then she had an emergency so we waited a little over an hour. Nice modern waiting area. Bring something to do while you wait. Lots of handicapped parking. Elevator to go between floors. Vending machine and small restaurant and carryout available on site

I had a laser eye surgery here and I could not be more disappointed with the after care and the lack of patient support. I honestly feel they got their money and couldn’t care less about my needs or pain and suffering. First, I tried for a week to reschedule an appointment but was never called back. Because of this I missed an important work meeting. Second and worst of all I was prescribed medication that was never actually submitted to the pharmacy. And once again when I called about this issue 2 days in a row it was never corrected. So I got to sit all weekend with pain and discomfort in my eye. Thanks CEI for proving once again that medical providers only care about money.

I've been going to Cincinnati Eye Institute for 16 years and to Dr. Haroon Chaudhry for well over 10 years now.

Though I'm faced with some bad news and its terrifying for me, I know that I'm going to be okay because of my strong faith, and because of Dr. Chaudhry and his staff.

Had an appointment with Dr. Cohen and couldn’t be happier with his professionalism and thoroughness in my diagnosis. His staff was very friendly and eager to answer any questions. I was pleasantly surprised at the speed of which I was seen and short wait times for various test.

No respect for the time of patients. We've multiple times had to wait well over an hour and a half after the alleged 'appointment time' before being seen.

There needs to be a way to charge a late fee when they do this, like so many places do to their patients.

Surgeon: Dr. Rivera
I was told by Dr. Rivera and CEI/ CVP Physicians that my surgery was medically necessary (Aug, 2024). After filing all the paperwork, giving consent, paying my part ($1000) to CEI and getting my pre-surgical physical, I received a call 4 days prior to surgery (Nov, 2024) that insurance denied the claim unless there was a peer review. Dr. Rivera had a clerical staff call me to tell me she would “opt out” of the requested appeal and that after looking at my chart again she determined NOW that my eyes and surgery were “ borderline and no longer medically necessary”- totally changing the medical decision she had made back in August that set this all in motion. What a waste…..
BUT she did then offer the surgery at a discount…. Careful trusting this practice and this physician, I no longer do, even with a discount…

My advice for anyone whose optometrist or primary care physician has made a referral to CEI.....ASK FOR ANOTHER REFERRAL. Although the doctors at CEI seem competent, CEI is VERY disrespectful of people’s time. The few times I’ve been there (once to treat a cataract and a second time to treat a torn retina) I had to wait HOURS in the waiting room to be seen. It’s a joke. Based upon the other reviews I’ve read, it sounds like making patients wait 3-4 hours is common practice. Avoid this place at all costs!!!
