It was so fun! We had a good time, but the temperature dropped to below freezing & it became too cold for us to stay the whole trip.

My husband and I were wandering through on an anniversary trip beginning of October, when we came across this hidden gem, while looking for more unique places to stay, as we don’t like chain hotels. This will probably one of our most memorable vacations ever. The host made us feel more like we were visiting family. And it is family run, right down to their kids and the super friendly dog. They were incredibly generous and informative about the area and history, and they literally thought of everything in the teepee, from electric blankets, outlets, to snacks and everything in between. It even has a mini fridge and coffee pot, and the big bed was so cozy comfy, covered in beautiful quilts and warm blankets. They gave us a tour of all the available teepees and let us pick which one we wanted to stay in. And the views were so worth it. Absolutely worth the stay, and we plan on coming back again! I cannot say enough good things about the entire experience.

Near town but majestically removed from the humdrum everyday of town. It has an incredible view of the canyon to the south, and each tent is gloriously comfortable . It is one of the true delights that this town possess. Rare beauty, eco friendly, and comfortable.

This was by far one of the best lodging experiences my family and I have ever had. The owners are wonderful people with a clear vision for this community. They have built a masterpiece in Hot Springs County.

They meet you and show you around the Tipi Retreat when you arrive. Each tipi is unique with great amenities inside. My children, 6 and 9, loved the bunk beds. We were able to bbq each evening while enjoying the most breathtaking views!

The sunrises are just as spectacular as the evenings and we enjoyed coffee and preparing breakfast together.

My family had the best time and made great memories…..

Thanks again Tipi Retreat!

This place is amazing! The views are wonderful, the hosts are so hospitable, the rooms come stocked with complementary snacks, there’s filtered water, a refrigerator, microwave, keurig, kcups and chairs for the patio to sit and enjoy sunrise or set. My daughter loved the goats on the property and Caleb was so kind to show us the younger ones up at the host house. What a great place! I can’t say enough good about it.

Be prepared to use a porta potty and walk some. Also be prepared to get rained on inside as the tipis are open on top. We stayed warmer camping in our actual tent than in the tipi (and drier too). The accommodation is overpriced, but the experience and breath taking views are unique.

We had a wonderful time! The hosts went out of their way to make it fantastic for us. They put out decorations for the birthday, let the kiddos feed the goats, and set up the heater specifically for us as well. Having the free access to the hot springs pool and the snack shack made it more affordable
