It was a beautiful day when we took a visit to the Deja Vu Thrift Shop in Geneva. There’s so much to look at!

They offer a well-organized selection of gently used furniture, clothing, and household items at affordable prices.

The friendly staff provides excellent customer service. No matter where you turn to look you’ll be bound to find something interesting that will catch your attention.

As a local resident and member of one of the local Catholic churches, I have been donating to Dejavu for many years. I have also picked up some lovely thrifted items at the store - until recently. The past several times I have been in the store, volunteer workers have been sorting through donated boxes and making piles for themselves. They also no longer acknowledge shoppers upon entering and exiting the store - because they are distracted looking through items to take for their own personal use.This is a vastly different experience than in prior years. In addition, the prices have increased significantly and are the same that can be found when searching for/purchasing online. Outside of some of the clothing items, which I have observed volunteers picking through and taking the best items for themselves, prices are no longer deals for community members. As a result, inventory has decreased drastically as I have no doubt many other donors have had the exact observations and experiences and have chosen to donate elsewhere. Very disappointing and sad to see changes in what used to be a truly Catholic charity.

I went to this thrift store looking for some things to buy and they did not disappoint! They were running their $15 per bag clothing deal so I was able to get lots of clothes for very cheap. The people that helped me were very kind and friendly. There was a wide selection of stuff since there are items on all three levels. Overall a great experience. I will definitely be coming back again!

While visiting my sister in IL, we shopped at Deja Vu. My sister was terminal at the time and undergoing chemo. She asked a clerk for use the restroom and was denied in a rude manner. My sister was obviously ill, but brought me shopping in Geneva as we had for 25 years. She knew this would be our last time. I will never forget how badly she was treated when she needed kindness the most. She passed away 6 months later.

Very disappointed in the prices. Saw an advert on FB and drove all the way over there only to see things were antique store prices. The item I went to buy was priced higher than what it would cost brand new and it was missing parts. Very frustrated with thrift shops that get these items for free price gauging.

Staff are super helpful and friendly. Selection is abundant and high quality. They often do sales like bags full of clothing for a fixed cheap price. This was invaluable when we needed clothes for the baby and toddler.
