When I first came in here, I thought that I had found a fantastic tattoo shop and artist that I was excited to work with. I had a good experience on my 1st day there.
However... since then, my attempts to communicate with the artist about my work have been very spotty. She responded occasionally and then completely just ghosted me after I asked her when I could come in and get my work done...extremely unprofessional! Still no reply to this day, May 10th...
Afterward, my attempts to communicate with anyone had only been reciprocated by a lack of respect. And this coming from absolutely nowhere too! I mean, what the hell did I do to deserve this treatment? I was so kind to them all, and meanwhile, they were holding onto a packet full of my cash, while ignoring my texts for weeks, and they made no attempts to make things right.
Here's the update... So instead of waiting around to hear back from them to get in before I left town (which they all knew well about), I decided to just walk in and have Mark do the tattoos that I was asking for!
Kris had previously told me that these tattoos would cost way more than $200 and was talking about how they would need to be touched up and stuff? 🤨 apparently they have a hard timeEven though he knew I was moving out of the state within a week, so what did that have to do with anything? But when mark did them, it took him 30 minutes to do everything I asked for, and he didn't even do a great job. On a cover up, the cover up is supposed to cover up what is already there, yeah? But now that it's healing, everything is still showing underneath the tattoo that he put on top of what was already there. So I'm extremely disappointed that I spent $200 for 30 minutes worth of tattoo work on a cover-up that isn't even covered up. And it's on my hand of all places! Given that this was done on my hand, I'm appalled that he wasn't more meticulous about this. I would have said something at the time if I had noticed, but it was hard for me to tell exactly where the tattoo was with all of the purple ink from the transfer paper. So my trust was in him, and he got waaaay too much money for that very simple, sloppy work that was done.
I would advise you to go elsewhere for delicate work!
I have a ton of tattoos and I have been to famous, magazine cover and award winning tattoo shops and artists that don't charge nearly as much as this place does for their subpar work and terrible business practices. I also own a business, and I would never recommend this place after my experience with these people.
One more thing...I thought it would be a really unique and exciting gift to get my husband a gift certificate to this place for Christmas. But since he couldn't decide on a tattoo that he wanted before we left town, I asked for a refund. He hadn't chosen an artist yet, so the money didn't belong to anyone yet. They didn't say anything about no refunds. So, you should be aware of the fact that if you're going to get somebody a gift certificate, be damn sure that they are going to get a tattoo and that they know that they want one, because these guys will make it impossible for you to get your money back if they don't. My husband couldn't make up his mind, and it's REALLY important that when you get a tattoo, you make sure that it's something that you know for sure that you want on your body because this is permanent. And these guys should know that better than anybody else and be more respectful and empathetic of circumstances like this!
**It became obvious pretty quickly to me that they were ignoring me on purpose, until the day that I left town to try to keep my money.*** Which I was never going to let happen! 🙄
That's how I got tattooed myself in the first place because my husband couldn't make up his mind. So I worked really hard to try to figure out something for ME, because I actually felt bad about having to ask for a refund, and this is how they treated me in return! I guess Mark got a very big tip because he didn't say anything about me overpaying for the work he did.
