This place is awful, do not take your children to get dental care at this place. They never called me to tell me my son did not have dental coverage, I show up for his scheduled appt that I had to wait months to get, when I get there they said he did not have dental coverage, which was a lie. My son has dental coverage, they just were not accepting him since he turned 19. Worst experience, and rude staff.

I 100% recommend fresh wave dental care! My son had a abscess tooth that no one in the Wiregrass area would touch but doctor nichols pulled my baby’s tooth & was absolutely SO gentle. My son didn’t cry, whine or anything! Mommy son is only 5 & Autistic!!

I wish I could give zero stars. DO NOT GO HERE!! Thought I was lucky to be able to get my son seen here because of how difficult it was to get an appointment anywhere else. But lucky is definitely not the case. My son needed a crown put on a tooth and when we left, we didn't even make it home before the crown had already came off. I called them and they said to bring him back the next day. Despite how upset I was, I did. They put another one on and about within a month, the crown was CORRODING. And then popped off. They also filled a cavity and that filling came out as well within 2 months. His teeth are now in worse condition than before. He also felt pain while they were working on him. After reading some of the other reviews, I don't even know how this place is even allowed to still be in business. Not to mention they are rude. This place is torture for children.

Dr. Nichols and the whole staff have always been wonderful, professional, warm, friendly and etc…. I can go on and on. I’ve been going to Dr. Nichols for over 28 yrs even when he was my dentist in the military and I haven’t had one complaint. The staff is wonderful and makes you feel like family. When my son was young. Dr. Nichols is who I brought him to see and he was scared to come to a dentist but the staff and Dr Nichols made him feel at ease and he has been coming every since up until he left going to the military in 2021. You want a family dentist that treats you like family and give you that reason to smile again, then I recommend Fresh Wave Dental Care is the place for you where you get the Ah Smile😊

Waited nearly 2 months to even see them bc they were booked. I am full term pregnant and had an abscess tooth. When they finally scheduled me I had to have a referral from my OBGYN to have the tooth pulled. I drove 37 miles to this place to be there first thing and they call me back and tell me I didn't need x-rays bc im only there for a teeth cleaning. NO IM NOT I even had to have a referral and I have waited nearly 2 months to see them. They were rude and dismissive telling me I had to leave and come back at 11 which was hours later. The dentist Dr. Nichols and his dental assistant were both extremely RUDE. Then he tells me he needs to call my obgyn bc he don't know what to do with a pregnant woman. The man looked 80 years old you would think he had enough gh experience by then. I don't recommend going here EVER.

I took my daughter here and I will never return to this place, I would not even send my worst enemy here. This was supposed to be a diagnostic visit to see what treatment would be needed. They did not let me go back with her, after about 30 minutes the Tech came out and told me she still has one baby tooth and 2 molars had some slight damage. She then brings my child to me and starts talking about making my daughters next appointment. To which I interjected "well hold on a second because I am not sure that I even want to bring her back here."
Tech raises her voice loud enough there was a small echo behind it "Why?"
"I do not like the fact that I cannot go back into the exam room with my child." I told her, which was the absolute truth about how I felt, her pediatrician does not even have me leave the exam room.
The tech then raises her voice even more to say "That's our covid policy."
I laughed and probably made the situation worse, but that was funny to me seeing as how the panic is basically over.
The tech then barks "Well unless you want to drive all the way to Troy or Montgomery we are the only ones in the area that take her insurance."
Honestly this felt like a "we are the only option you have" type a deal, almost threatening even.
Please do not use this dentist office! They are TERRIBLE!!!!

The dentist refused to work on my child because she wasn't opening her mouth wide enough and was scared. Instead of reassuring her that the metal instruments would not hurt her he only asked her if she wasn't going to open her mouth wider and told her he can't do it. Then proceeded to say "fine", put the instruments down, and walk off. It's one thing to not feel comfortable working on a child after some kind of compassion is given or even if he had asked me to try to reassure her. But the fact that he couldn't reassure a child, couldn't communicate this to me while I was standing right there, couldn't look at me, and referred me to dentists 1-2 hours away while there are plenty of other dentists in the area is unprofessional. You work at a pediatric dental office, at least pretend to have empathy.

Called and made my kids an appointment. The lady made the appointment for Thursday one at 11AM and one at 12PM, I get a call day of appointment to confirm my appointment for Monday. I told the lady my appointment was for today, she said they didn't have me for today it was for Monday. Before ending the original call I verified the appointment for Thursday (today)at the times given. My kids missed school for nothing. Someone screwed up and can't even admit the did. Mom is highly aggravated. Do not recommend this place at all.
