Visiting family from Hawaii, the rooms are spacious and clean, the location is first class, with Instagram views of the iconic Morro Bay Rock, and Val the owner was easy to work with. I read the review about the a/c, I feel the weather is always cool in Morro Bay, it never gets hotter than 70 degrees ever, so I never needed the a/c. The French bakery downstairs is first class for a delicious breakfast or lunch, and there's even a surf shop downstairs if you want to rent a stand up paddle board for a trip to the sand spit. I will definitely stay there again! Aloha!

Morro Bay is a lovely place with lovely restaurants and shops and a great connection to nature. Front Street Inn is the perfect place to enjoy the community with its location on the bay with gorgeous views. The owner, Val, was friendly and helpful, and our room (Big Sur) was clean and comfortable.

At first, we were shocked about the location in front of a public parking lot, despite being directly across from the bay. However, it turned out to be a wonderful setting. There is a wonderful bakery next door, excellent restaurants steps away, easy parking, and the beautiful wharf and bay as the front yard. Also, the Inn is simply wonderful. Val has created a "homey" feeling where we felt "right at home." The jacuzzi every night helped relax our tourist feet, and the view of the Rock relaxing on the sofa is to die for.

Beautiful room but not a place to go if you want genuine rest. The view is great however it was extremely noisy being so close to the Main Street, we had to leave the windows open because there is no air conditioning which in turn increased the noise and light from the street. The host/owner seemed like we were more of a burden than guest.

Rooms are nice however there is no A/C so we had to leave the windows open and we didn’t get much rest. The owner/host seemed like we were more of a burden than guests. Definitely won’t be staying there again.

Love, love love this place. We love the views from our room and enjoy watching the boats, kayakers, seals, sea otters, pelicans and even all the people enjoying the amazing location. Val is a wonderful hostess and the place is clean and comfortable. The sheets and pillows are soft and I could lay in bed and still see the Rock and all the beauty. The Bakery is right below and has delicious food and treats. We also enjoyed eating at Frankie & Lola's just a few steps away.

The room was lovely and quiet. And what a view! we sat for hours people and seawatching. Being above the french bakery was a blessing and a curse because it was fun to wake up to the wonderful smell of baking treats but we spent more money and time shopping and eating there than was good for us. The deep tub was great, room was clean and homey. Can't wait to come back. The only thing that was a drawback for us was the lack of a desk as my husband needed to spend time working, but we made do and honestly, how much work can one get done while looking out the window!

AMAZING!!! The location, the view, the front desk ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
I really don't know how to put into words how wonderful this place is! From having our own entrance, to ease of parking, to amazing views and easy quick walks to literally anywhere we love in Morro Bay. You have to find a way to stay here 2 or 3 days at the very least.
Our suite/room had its own private entrance and stairway. Walking in there were plenty of hangers for our coats and hats. A little kitchenette area with a fridge, microwave, sink, dishes, coffee maker, wine glasses... The jacuzzi shower bathroom is very large and ours had a skylight in it. Thermostat controlled fireplace, TV, couches with tables and the view.
The view is breathtaking and I must admit that I cried with joy and utter shock when the shade covers to the windows were drawn to reveal the view overlooking the boats docked at the bay and Morro Rock.
We also took full advantage of the binoculars while sitting on the couch to see the seals, otters, and birds.
