I've been wanting to stop in for a while now, and finally had time on my lunch hour last week. Went in looking for crystals, and picked some out that I really liked. I put them all in the small bag. When checking out the cashier had to go match each stone to get the price. This took a while, but wasn't her fault that there isn't a better system in place. While she is wrapping one of the crystals the tissue paper she was using touched the candle on the counter and caught fire! This should've been my first that things weren't going to end well. Then she takes my card to charge it and the ancient card machine was out of receipt paper. She said because it didn't print my receipt that she would have to void the transaction and try again. She replaced the paper and tried 2 more times but said it wasn't working. I decided to check my bank account and I had three pending transactions for the total. I told her to stop running my card and I needed to have this fixed. There was another woman there helping and they reluctantly called their boss and the owner of the shop, Cindy. She told them to void the transactions and run it again. I was not letting them charge me again, as even when the charges are pending it is taking that money out of my balance each time until cleared. As the two ladies struggled to navigate the credit card machine they had Cindy on speaker.. who is yelling to them that "if she comes in the next day and is short the $86.69 then she will be taking it from their paychecks".
It all of a sudden made sense why the lady was a nervous wreck from the second I walked in. At this point I told the ladies this is not their fault. It would be illegal for Cindy to take that money from their checks, and I left the two women my name and number to call me if there were any issues with the charge once my bank has few days to clear the pending charges.
I came in looking to improve my energy and potentially find some guidance, but left broke and uneasy.
In the end the extra charges fell off and I was only charged the one time.

Tips for Cindy:
Treat your employees with respect, especially in a setting for healing and spirituality.
Produce a more efficient way to keep track of the stones and their prices
Don't keep candles on the counter with all the tissue paper

Friendly service and an excellent selection of incense, candles stones, ritual drums, goddess stuff and many other items. It's the only metaphysical store in the North Metro Denver area! Woman-owned and totally fun!
