I used to love this H-E-B. Like, 10 years ago it was actually nice. It was never super busy, the produce was fresh, it felt clean and calm, and you could actually walk around without feeling like you were in the middle of a stampede. Now? Total opposite.

They just remodeled it recently, and I have no idea why. The whole place is gray and lifeless now. Seriously who decided grocery stores should look like concrete bunkers? It used to feel warm and inviting, now it’s like shopping in a cold office building. I miss the old colors and aesthetic.

But the worst part? The crowds. There are easily over a thousand people in there every single time I go. Doesn’t matter if it’s a random Tuesday morning or late on a Sunday night. You’re shoulder-to-shoulder with people, dodging carts, and it’s nearly impossible to get through the aisles without getting stuck or cut off. It’s chaotic. I genuinely get stressed out just trying to grab bread.
And don’t even think about parking unless you’re willing to drive around in circles for 15 minutes. The lot is always full, people are constantly creeping behind you to steal your spot, and it’s just a mess. For how busy this location is, it’s way too small. Like, H-E-B should know better by now, this store clearly can’t handle the traffic.

I’ve honestly started going out of my way to shop at a different H-E-B because this one is such a disaster. It’s not even worth it anymore. The crowds are out of control, and parking is a nightmare. Super disappointing, especially since it used to be one of the good ones.

Excellent HEB. Why can't they all be like this one?

The shelves are orderly and they have a wide variety of everything. Their prices are a bit higher than some other unnamed chains, but it's worth it. The produce is fresh and not damaged. Again, wide variety.

The aisles are wide, not obstructed with sales bins, and clean. The employees are friendly and helpful. They aren't bothered when you ask them for help.

Although I don't routinely come to HEB, I may start to now. Cost more? Yes, slightly. But so worth it for the good attitude the employees show and the well stocked clean shelves! Managers: you're doing a good job!

I can’t even imagine what it was like before HEB delivery. I live far from home and I have been able to make sure my Momma has groceries when she needs them and delivered flowers and a pie for mother’s day. It has been a blessing to have access to necessities from all HEB locations. The employees are always punctual, reliable, generous and kind. Thank you for being amazing!!:)

I am grateful for HEB, especially their delivery service. I have been a long time customer, because even when there is an issue, they resolve it. The stores are clean, properly managed, and well lit. They are just much better at what they do than any other grocer.

DIRTY GRAY SOAP AT THE CARWASH

Today I purchased a $13 carwash and when I used it the first soap application was putting out grayish dirty suds with a bad odor (see pics) onto my car. I’ve experienced this before with this heb carwash and went to report it to the gas attendant Brian A who immediately had an abrasive reaction and said because no one has reported this as a problem you’ll have to go thru the wash again, it’s probably just dirt from your car. Like I said I’ve experienced this before and knew the dirty gray soap wasn’t my imagination or coming from my car but I did as he asked and had the same results. When I returned to Brian to let him know the soap was still dirty gray and same stagnant smell he got upset and said he needed to get a manager and called one. I hadn’t even asked for a refund at this point but he acted very threatened. Once off the phone he nervously refunded the wash and I asked if he’s going to fix the problem you know hook up a new soap canister so people spending their hard earned money on a car wash are actually getting soap.? Brian replied that no one has ever complained to him about the soap and he’s at the station all the time. I couldn’t believe how he spoke to me in front of several other customers repeating to me animatedly that I’m the only person who’s ever complained to him about the soap. He was basically calling me a liar while representing heb when all he had to do was go check the soap. Brian was more obsessed that I was the only one to ever complain (about dirty or no soap) instead of being concerned that heb is selling a carwash minus the colorful good smelling soapI that usually comes with your wash. I took a video of the second wash but was so startled by Brian’s reaction that I forgot to show him proof! Maybe he was having a bad day but he handled my complaint wrong from start to finish causing a scene at the end and I wouldn’t want him interacting with customers that have complaints if I were the owner.
