I drove all the way up from scottsbluff to the shop, it said online they were open till 3 on Friday, I got there and they were closed, with no explanation. I tried calling the number several times and no answer. Wasted all that gas for nothing and gas isn't cheap. The one and only reason I drove up all that way. Fix your dang hours so people aren't wasting there time and what Lil money they have!!! Unbelievable

I've went to Land of Goshen since it started, years ago, with the Snow family. The Snows had a mission when they started this store, to help the community. You ALWAYS knew the price of items and they had every sort of item you could imagine.

Fast forward to the last 10 years, where volunteers would get first choice over the donated items and no money was being made off of the donations, to help the community, like people thought, with the donations they would bring in.

To now, currently. You never know what the cost of a item is until you go ask. They seriously price it as they sell it. Judy is in charge and is the RUDEST person I have EVER encountered in a business type setting. I have had extra charges added onto my ticket, that shouldn't have been. The response to the overcharging was 'I'll make it up to you next time'.

They no longer take children's toys. I have seen people bring in brand new kitchen toy sets and they were still turned away. Second hand toys are the only way some kids get to pick out a 'new' toy at the store.

The Snows would be so very disappointed in how their nonprofit has turned out recently.

My husband is not posting this I am and my name is Gloria. About 2-3 weeks ago I took a lot of clothing along with other items to Goshen Ministries. I had a 100.00 winter coat never worn new blouses that had never been worn several new clothing items never worn. All clothing was washed and clean. I called to find out what days I could bring items in. Upon my arrival a staff person went to get the person in charge. I believe her name was Judy. She was so rude. She finally took the items reluctantly. I am sorry I left them now. I have many more items and will take them to Guernsey. I know of someone else that took items there and also complained of the rudeness by this same person. This lady in charge is not doing the Goshen Ministry any favors by the attitude she shows to people that’s are making donations.

The people there have been very kind and extremely reasonable with their prices. You can hardly find deals for their prices. I’m always welcomed and treated with respect, too. I have gladly donated to their ministry instead of giving things to other places.

I went there looking for used books. While their inventory was sort of limited, they did have a John Grisham book that I was going to buy. A woman who works here wanted to get it for her husband but sold it to me anyway.
I thought so much of this example of customer service that I read the book the next day and took it back and donated it.
