I am a recovering brain cancer patient and needed to have my hair, that has finally grown out, cut and colored. Jude was really nice and she wanted to make sure that what I wanted was going to make me happy in the long run. Jude did a really great job on the cut and she even added some blue and dark purple highlights. Thank you.

After spending a lot of time looking into tape in hair extentions and finally getting my hair just long enough for an upper partial I went to Laura's to order hair. The store associate told me they would have to order tape ins, as they did not stock them. She had me try on some wigs at this point because I was also considering that as an option. She was very helpful and super sweet.
I ended up finding a wig with a color pattern that I liked, but wanted to see if we could order that same or similar pattern in extentions. I wanted extentions for sure. She said she would have to check with her boss as she wasn't sure. We walked to the counter and she asked if they could order the hair or if they had a similar color option. After looking me and her employee and the wig a few times each, she very curtly told me my hair was "too short" for tape in's. With 5 or so people staring at me now, I said that I would take my business elsewhere and thanked the girl who helped me for her time. (Who looked sad and embarassed for me)
Mind you, she is the professional here, but I WAS WEARING A HAT. She couldn't see my hair length. She simply could have said no, but she was rude and honestly it felt more judgemental than anything.

I had the pleasure of getting my hair high-lighted and dyed today, and a fantastic haircut. Lila did an incredible job. She took her time and made sure it was perfection. I'm normally very patient and hardly ever complain but I received the worst customer service.I bought hair extensions for $140 from Laura's wig because I was very self conscious about the amount of hair loss after having Covid especially as I'm a hairdresser. After having them put in my hair, after they felt and looked very fake. I washed them and then they lost even more shine and were very matted and frizzy. They gradually got worse in a very short space of time. I'm currently a volunteer so that was a lot of money for me to spend. When I tried taking them back less than 1 week after buying them, the manager was very unhelpful and degrading. She accused me of doing something to the hair and said that they are definitely 100% hair. Not only was she accusing me but she was insulting my intelligence as a hairdresser. I've worked with hair extensions for many years and know how to test if hair extensions are real or fake despite what the companies say.
I even demonstrated that test with my hair and the extensions and she still refused to give me a refund. I understand that normally they don't do refunds on hair but if the hair they are selling is not what it says it is then that policy shouldn't count and give a refund. I'm disappointed and upset with inconvenience and wasted money ☹
