This is a beautiful B&B with lovely hosts who were welcoming and interested in us and our travels. Their stunning home is a clear labour of love and it was a privilege to experience it. Despite being in the owner’s home, the room and facilities felt very private, with our own terrace and bathroom.

It was a true joy staying at the home of Marty and Terrie. Both are very kind, welcoming and warming people. They show true joy in having guests! ||We’d found this property through google and adjusted our trip to visit. When we drove up the land we saw a deer welcoming us! How amazing is that? ||We stayed in the yellow room. Nicely decorated decor and a very comfy bed! The bathroom is not en-suite but is easily accessed through the hallway. Everything you needed for having a great shower is there! We enjoyed a really good breakfast in the library and had a splendid cup of fresh made hot chocolate. ||The house is self built by the owners and looks just like a true gem. ||If I need to point out one thing that I was missing that would’ve been an AC. But that’s just a personal thing, since I always like to have cold fresh air in the room. You can leave the windows open if you want. ||We truly enjoyed our stay.

What an amazing discovery near the base of Grand Mesa. Maison De Terre is one of those true gems one rarely finds in travel. The painstaking detail and architectural love put into this tranquil oasis is evident as soon as you enter. Marty and Terrie are amazing hosts and the breakfasts were culinary perfection! We will definitely be back! Highly recommend!

This charming b&b is located in Colorado’s Delta County wine country where we self-developed a biking itinerary to mimic what we typically do in the fall in Europe. We traveled with another couple and created our own routes for biking, hiking and wineries. We are from the front range and were delighted to become better acquainted with the place that supplies cherries, peaches and apples to our front-range grocery stores. We looked for distinctive accommodations for this trip for our enjoyment in the mornings and evenings and came across Maison de Terre. What a delightful and interesting choice! This property is an authentic adobe home on a rural property outside of Cedaredge, CO. It was fully constructed by hand by the owners - from hand-hewn exposed beams to the handcrafted and dried bricks that form this property’s super structure. The guest rooms are on a lower, private level with private patios. The family (owners) live upstairs and everyone shares a common foyer. The experience at this property is one of feeling truly “hosted” – like family who hasn’t seen each other in a while. Marty and Terrie were wonderful hosts, bringing lovely breakfasts to us each morning on trays to the patio outside our rooms. Such a treat! They have created a such a special place - remote from the front range with black skies and brilliant stars, and requiring no plane ride or jet lag recovery. Highly recommend!

So happy to have found this place. You can tell their home is a labor of love. It’s so so beautiful. everything felt special. The breakfast was amazing both days; I highly recommend the drinking chocolate! The hosts, Terrie and Marty were so kind and accommodating… even when our dogs chased their sheep out of their pen.
When I grow up, I want to be like Marty and Terrie.

WOW! This review is late (I stayed here in the fall) but I wanted to make sure I let the owners know just how much I enjoyed my stay!!! I came in a little later, but I was warmly welcomed & slept amazingly. Waking up was a DREAM, as I had no idea what a wonderful view I would have or that the breakfast would be one of the best of my life 🤩 Had a great chat the next morning & learned about the unique house & area. Would love to come back!!

I visited Maison De Terre for a relaxing getaway, and it was perfect. Terrie and Marty were wonderful hosts. The room was charming and the breakfast was fantastic - I felt badly that I couldn't finish it all! I also appreciated Marty's recommendation of a short hike to check out on my way home. It was perfect! I hope to be able to visit again.
