What a place! Came during the scorching heatwave in Bay Area. About 20 degrees cooler than where I live. It was a weekday. Not crowded at all. Parking was free. The restroom was clean. The beach was so long. I couldn’t even see the end of it. The water was too cold for me to swim but I did see a few people in the water. Didn’t see anyone hang gliding. The pelicans flew by once in a while. Quite a scene.

Very clean and beautiful beach…. Parking is bad and very congested, just be ready to wait to find the right spot. Restrooms are ok and abundant for this small area. It’s a very steep walk down but quick… the way back up… that’s a different story… being overweight does not help😵‍💫

There is a life guard on duty and from what I can tell the only one for a bit.

I drove here tonight to watch the beautiful sunset and take some pictures while I was there. There were plenty of people there that seemed to be thinking the very same thing. It closes soon after the sun sets. The beach entrance is a large area for tourists and locals to wander along beautiful white sands or to exercise along the waterline. The beach itself is pretty cold this time of year, in my opinion and the water is even colder, around 54 degrees colder. Brrr! This spot is ideal in the summertime and you will more than likely struggle to find a parking spot. You might have to park a little farther away and walk in. There are restrooms available as well and picnic tables too. The bathrooms seem to be hit n' miss on whether their unlocked or not on any given day. Below are the pictures I took with my phone tonight. Of course they don't do the sunset any justice though....

Nice beach, close to the highway and town, easy in and out. Usually windy. More of a walking beach than a laying around one.

Awesome sunsets Really nice to have your lunch in the car. Meditate
Or parasail If you know how. The park Rangers are not bothersome.
And have never seen the Marina police there once.
