This spa is my favorite. I thought I was getting good massages before, but oh wow this was next level. I've had 3 massages and 1 facial here. I booked with all different people and they have all knocked it out of the park. I get deep tissue because I get really tight muscles and I feel amazing after. I also love the "quiet area" to sit in before your appointment, very relaxing. All staff have been so kind. Couldn't reccomend more!

My husband and I retired to Colorado Springs very recently and happened upon this very special place as we were out and about one snowy day. We were welcomed by both Hailey and Lo with such warmth as we wandered into the boutique. We had no idea how much more than a beautiful boutique it was!! Beyond the very unique and beautiful gift shop is a full service spa and salon. Just reading through “Menu “ was fascinating due to the details provided with each and every service offered. We came to learn about “Cati” , a Neuromuscular Massage Therapist who has a great understanding of the concept of the human body and brain. She’s a HEALER!! I’m 63 and have only met 3 people in my life that I can even say that about.
I can’t recommend Mateos enough! The owner, Cindy is a very talented artist who has created a gift to our community and we are grateful 💜.
As for Hailey and Lo, they are absolutely above and beyond the level of care that you receive in the majority of businesses that exist!

I have only been here to see Dawn for facials but she is so amazing that I am encouraging everybody else I know to come see her. My skin is glowing and from the start Dawn has felt like a friend. I will definitely be looking into other services.

Went to Mateo’s today for the first time and my wife and I absolutely loved it. Hannah was a wonderful person and did an amazing job. Patty at the front desk is an absolute saint she was so nice and professional to us. We will be back for another visit that’s for sure. Thank you to all the ladies that made our day great hope you all have a blessed 2025

This spa has such a lovely, peaceful waiting area. The water feature, fire and music add to the relaxing experience. I got a pedicure with Crystal and she is so lovely. She did an amazing job, she was very gentle and sweet. My friend came to visit from out of town and was feeling altitude sickness so the spa was a great spot for today. Although, her manicurist was a bit abrasive and concerned about time whilst being angry my friend had some glitter nail polish on previously. It was a bit uncomfortable for my friend to be mildly berated for her existing at home polish. Her pedicurist was very lovely and talkative and made no fuss about her existing toe polish ;).
As I live in the area, I will definitely be back for Crystal to do my nails. Also, I hope to get gifts for family to come for spa services such as massage.

I had an amazing and relaxing time today at Mateos. The woman who assisted me with my spa pedicure was named Christina. I highly recommend her and hope to see her again in the future.

I have visited Mateo's over many years. I love the vibe and the services offered. I have also used Mateos many times for gifts! However, recently, I have had a couple of very disappointing experiences. The most recent was that I made an appointment with a specific massage therapist due to the fact that my previous massage there was very poor. When I arrived for my appointment, they had changed me to a different therapist without my consent and expected me to keep the appointment. They even suggested that if I did not keep the appointment, I would be responsible financially. I asked them to have a manager call me, and I left. It has been well over a week, and I have yet to hear from anyone. Do your due diligence when making an appointment at Mateos! They look and act amazing, but sadly, their services are questionable.

*WOW… I’m taken back! Just read the response from the owner and she came at me only to try and defend everything I had to say!!

First off, when someone makes an appointment over the phone and the person on the other end states their appointment time is 11 AM the professional thing to do would be to let them know to come to their appointment early. Not everybody reads thoroughly what all is mentioned in a confirmation email or text. Giving that information verbal should always be done. Many of us are professionals ourselves and don’t throughly read everything especially just a confirmation.

I arrived at my appointment at 11:01 AM. They were checking out other clients before they could get to me. I was not considered late whatsoever to my appointment.

Second, as I had mentioned, I did feel the girls facial was overall great. What I did say was that I did not like the scalp massage and I also thought her personality was a little harsh. She can tell you when she came out to get me in the waiting area she loudly said Audrey behind me and startled me and I even said to her, “oh my gosh, you scared me!”. I did mention to her that I really liked the pressure of her facial. I mentioned this before the scalp massage. I also mentioned to her that I would like my daughter to get a facial from her. Mind you I would have my daughter have her do the arm and hand massage that I wish I would have had her do instead.

Now onto the pedicure. I have photos that I will add if I’m still able to otherwise I will send those to you in a text. You will clearly see the color is so light it doesn’t even look like a bright white polish like I had asked for because there wasn’t enough coats.

I was sitting next to that elderly lady and I know exactly what happened. I’m in shock that you would be so quick to defend what I witnessed myself. I can promise you that lady didn’t do anything to help her client initially and the elderly lady had to ask for herself. She initially just gave her a dry towel and the elderly lady had to ask if she could please get it wet.

For you to bring up my business into this has nothing to do with my experience at your place. Reviews are done in order to let other people know what they can expect good and bad with businesses. If you look, I’m a top contributor to Google reviews. I review many many businesses and have for years. You are the only business in this industry that I have negatively reviewed and I have been in this business for 8 1/2 years. Being in the same industry has nothing to do with the service I was provided at your place. I chose your place of business for a reason and spent $300 because I wanted to treat myself.

Came for a spa package... massage was great, the facial was great except her personality was pretty harsh & during the scalp massage she started pulling my hair in places and it hurt pretty bad - I DON’T have a sensitive head. It was a terrible scalp massage overall even if she hadnt done that as she only focused on the very top of my head and it was only about five minutes. I had a pedicure done and paid $125 before tip and only applied one coat of shellac polish so you can see streaks and the color of the nail behind it.

Also, an elderly lady came to get a pedicure next to me and acetone accidentally got spilled on her. The nail tech did nothing to clean it off of her. The elderly lady had to ask if she can please clean it off and the lady first gave her a dry towel until the elderly lady had to ask for a wet towel - at that moment I was about to chime in.

The staff never informed me to come in early to get changed and relax for a few before getting started so when I arrived they rushed me to the back without getting undressed and said I need to hurry and get undressed for the massage before I miss out. This is very critical information for someone to know before appointment.

I'm personally not a fan of Mateo's after going there this time. Back in the day I enjoyed my spa day but it's so outdated and the girls aren't the most professional.
