I was so impressed with the hard work that has taken place updating this store. I stopped in to look for a specific thing I needed, and found many unique home decor and storage items, a new $70. purse I found for under $10, and the specific item I went in there hoping to find! The owner was gracious and didn't even tell me that I was still shopping a bit after closing hours. All of my items were carefully wrapped and packed in nice bags for the trip home.

Typically, the only reviews I leave for businesses are positive ones... this is my first unhappy customer review. Ever.
I have shopped at this store on multiple occasions and haven't minded the mediocre (or lack of) customer service most times. After all, it's just a thrift shop, and it's more fun to browse all the unique items, looking for a gem, than anything. But the service hit an ultimate new low last time I shopped there. The employees were too busy standing around gossiping to help all the customers in the store. When I went up to purchase my items, they continued to chat until they noticed me (which was a few minutes). They gal ringing me up seemed quite annoyed with my presence and didn't smile or say a word to me during the entire checkout process. When she handed me my bag, I said thank you, and she simply responded, "yeah", but the tone sounded more like "leave". Nothing further was said between us. I will never return. Thrift stores are abundant. I have no need to return to this one and be treated like an unwanted customer again.

Came to Albert Lea because I live just 35 minutes away to check out some thrift stores. Let’s just say Albert Lea should not be slept on! New To You is a great consignment store with very reasonable prices! Was very pleased and excited with how much vintage clothing they have!! The gal working was really sweet too. I will be back soon for sure

I love this store!! I shop here at least once a week, if not more. There is always something new coming in, and I love their 50% colored tag deals. The ladies who work here/own it are so very friendly and nice and welcoming. Highly recommend this store!!

It was very unorganized. The clerk in the back was on her phone. I was standing there to try and get some help. The older lady told the younger gal to help me. After she was done she went right back to her phone. The Blue Tags look like the teal tags.
. It’s very confusing for the customer very disappointed and I had to pay full price when I look like there’s a blue tag. There is a mess in the front. Boxes all over. I would not go in there again.

I went over today to donate a purse.
I should mention, the last time i donated a box of stuff i was given the option to give any profit from my things to the humane society.
(Which i loved the idea!)
I was not interested in getting any money for the things. I just wanted to get rid of them nd supporting the animal shelter was a great plus that time.

This time I went in and told the lady at the counter that i wanted to donate this purse, and i was wondering if they COULD take it. Then she took the purse and went to ask the women in the back.
I walked back w her and asked if they could donate the money to the humane society? The other lady was then holding the purse and i asked the question again, if I could donate the purse? and then if they could give the money to the shelter? She seemed confused.. And i asked if they weren’t doing that anymore since last time they were. She looked at the purse, even opened it and took a look at the inside of it.
Then she said no they were not doing that anymore. she then gave the bag back to me.
Fine. i just...

dont seem to understand why she examined the bag inside nd out and didnt want it? The bag looked and was in good shape given it was like new and
why don’t they do donations to the shelter anymore? Very disappointed.
I might jst try to donate at Out of town thrift stores. Or maybe give away to family! 🙂
Make sure u ask the store’s what their rules nd procedures r b4 u take stuff in.. SHould not b so confusing nd disappointing to walk out w ur things back home
