The manager was kind and helpful when I asked for assistance, but I couldn’t ignore the inauthentic greeting I received upon entering. It felt as though I was being judged based on my appearance as they looked me up and down to determine my worthiness, with such a negative attitude. In contrast, my experience as a black woman at Friends Beauty Supply was exceptional. Their team genuinely greeted me with positive energy and treated me with the highest level of care and customer service. I felt valued and this poor experience reminded me of that. I would only come to Nigel's if absolutely necessary.

I love shopping at Nigel's, I have been a customer since day 1. It is for sure a Make Up Artist shopping destination in Los Angeles. Great staff, friendly services and many awesome brands to stock and kit replenishment. Come to Nigel's for all of your professional make up and haircare products must have for your kit. This is the best beauty store I have ever seen. This is perfect for a beauty supply store to get their merchandise. This is also great if you want to do an at home hair bleaching. They have everything like toner and bleach, to makeup to wigs. I went into the store thinking it was just going to be one small place. It ended up being three giant store is connected that were all under Nigel Beauty Emporium. This place was so beautiful and spectacular, because on the first section they had a lot of make up for example lipstick ,bronzer highlights ,contour, foundation, eyeliner, and more! Then on the second section they had everything hair related and some stuff for your face. There was more than 100 brands of different kind of conditioners and also shampoo. They even had some stuff for bleaching your hair and other hair dyes that were amazing and they even had samples which was amazing and they really helped out. As soon as you walk into the second section what happens is you see all the temporary tattoos which is amazing and stunning because they are all able to be applied to your face so they are kind of mask like. There are some really gorgeous masks! As for the last section it’s wigs and wig holders where you can carry all your things which is very convenient! There is many parts of the wigs for example, there is extensions there is weaves there is even just small clips of here that you can add on. What I like most about this place is that there is literally an entire wall just for brushes make up, and hair which is amazing as well. Lastly one of the things I like is that when you first see the store it’ll tell you where the sections are and how they are divided on the front it says what side you are on.

I love this store! Can you say 1 stop shop? I just wish there was one in orange county so I wouldn't have to drive so far. They got EVERYTHING year round from regular makeup & wigs & hair products to Halloween makeup, prosthetics, materials to make/paint prosthetics to TONS of different types of brushes for EVERY type of need possible. This store is a make up artist's/estitician's/hair stylist/nail salon's dream all in one!

It’s unfortunate i have to make this review. I really love nigels as far as variety of beauty products but i feel very swindled as they sold me an old, quite possible used lipgloss on 50% off. I understand it was on-sale but the cap was incredibly sticky and there was lip gloss all over the inside of the box. I didnt even want to open the gloss but when i went to exchange it the women at the register (white with dark hair) went ahead and opened it ever so slightly to indicate that “no it had in fact not been used” which proves nothing because people could have swatched it and put it in without getting the edges. Just horrible service and no real consideration for customers from this sales associate in particular. Just take the loss for the old unsold lipgloss instead of jipping loyal customers. 😢
