Nathan was our guide and was so awesome! We were a mixed group of seniors, young adults and children. He was patient with lost nets and slow paddlers-even had to perform a rescue when a shrimp tried to stow away and panicked our 6 year old. We all felt comfortable and he was careful about safety without going overboard. This was a magical night for us-if you are on the fence it’s a definite yes!

Had a great night bioluminescence tour with Hayden and Chandler. Both were very friendly. Hayden had a lot of information about the area and the cone jellies that we were collecting. When we lost an item of our kayak, Chandler stayed behind with us to try to recover it. Cannot recommend enough.

The trip was very easy, and did not require previous kayak experience. The lake is also quite shallow, so even if you aren't a strong swimmer, it's still very safe. The jellies were very cool, and light up as you paddle and when you pick them up in nets. It's not as extreme as some of the bioluminescence in parts of the Caribbean, but it was still very visible and cool. Doesn't photograph well on a phone camer though, so don't worry about bringing a phone along if you are worried about losing it.

The North Guana Outpost Crew created an exceptional night out for the Bioluminescent Kayak tour. We went out around 7 pm for guided sunset/night tour. Our guides Emily, Hayden, and Claire were very knowledgeable and made our experience fun and entertaining. We saw jellyfish, many different types of fish and birds as well as several shooting stars. The entire group enjoyed the experience and we will be back.

NGO is a great family owned business and the only outfitter in Jacksonville that I recommend. Very friendly staff, great service, and always stocked with the necessities. Whether you’re looking to rent a kayak or paddle-board or just need sunscreen for the beach they have you covered!

Had an awesome kayaking experience with Hayden as my tour guide. Everything was set up and prepared for easy access to the water. Being a FL local, I still learned a lot about the area that I never knew! And seeing the comb jellys was a really cool experience.
Would definitely recommend this as a part of your North Florida Trip! Make sure you ask for Hayden to get the most out of this experience!

I absolutely love this place! While most people review the kayak tours, this hidden gem shop deserves the spotlight!! I was so impressed by the high-quality items, beautiful clothes, and great sales. This team is so warm and knowledgeable. We have rented kayaks several times to quietly enjoy the marsh. Saw birds, gators, fish one mullet? even jumped into my kayak!!!!!! Still quiet breeze.
