Kristin & Mike We’re so friendly and accommodating to us when the other hotel we had booked (Roundtop Mountain Vista Cabins) had no one at the front desk to check us in. They came out from their room after 11 PM at night to check us in and make sure we had a place to stay. They made sure we had cookies for our dogs, and they made sure we had a blanket to cover our fish tank to keep our fish warm in the truck. They really saved the day (night) for us. We know now that this is the only place in Thermopolis Wyoming we will stay. We recommend that to you also.

A great place to stay! The room was better than an Air BnB, it had 2 queen beds, private bathroom and fully equipped kitchenette with a full sized fridge. You’ll know upfront what you’re paying with no fees. It’s the most affordable in town and dog friendly. The owners were fantastic! It’s a little dated, so if you can’t get over yourself and need fancy then you won’t be happy. But my family was comfortable, slept well and really enjoyed our stay. * The owners donated a night stay to a silent auction basket to help local children. That tells you this is truly family friendly and should be your stop when traveling to/through Thermopolis.

We are always looking forward to come back to the Paintbrush Inn. The room is very clean, the bed comfy so you sleep well after soaking in the Hot Springs. It is truly a home away from home. Kristen and Mike are great people who make your stay great. We hardly can wait to come back next year.

$ is excellent, rooms are well taken care of. The owners definitely are ones that take care of things here.
If you want a well managed, relaxed, safe stay, stay here you can rest assured you are going to come back again.

Wow, have Mike and Kristen come a long way. First stayed at the Paintbrush Inn a couple of weeks after they bought the place. It was kind of rough back then, but now it's a really nice place to stay: clean, cozy, and great atmosphere. They really take care of their customers. It is now a staple on my run between Montana and Califorado. A real "family" owned and operated boutique old school motel. Thanks guys. =)

How in the world is this only a 1 star motel The room was spacious and more than comfortable with amenities galore. It appears to have been updated very recently. The owner will show you some spots to see and give you COC map. Definitely spend a few nights here and hike in the state park and visit the museum as well as the dinosaur center. There is a market and a bar just across the street - the market has a great selection of pre-made foods. I will be back to see more of this beautiful town, and I will make this motel my home base.
