First of all, I love the name of this business and the owner. She’s very sweet and kind; extremely outgoing. I appreciate how she treats her customers. Upon receiving service, she offered me free water and also mentioned that she would like to make time to set up a snack section for her customers at no charge. I got a silk press from pampered textures and I chose this place because I’m aware of the service provider’s ethnicity and felt more comfortable going to her because I’m a natural Sister. I have received a silk press before from another business and I must admit that African business need to spend a bit more time learning how to treat natural hair. I paid $120 for this silk press. This included washing, conditioning, blow drying, straightening, and trimming. The process was excruciating. Got burnt several times, does not have ear protectors, was extremely rough with my hair when washing, conditioning, and brushing. I had to request for a detangling brush instead of a comb. The products that were used in my hair were not natural hair products. Even after my hair was conditioned, it was extremely rough to comb/brush through it. My hair is typically between 4a and 4b. I mentioned that it was for my maternity pictures and I was not asked about my preference as how low I want it cut. The main thing that discourages me from going back to pampered texture is that my hair was not properly layered to be trimmed. It looks very unprofessionally done. My hair is around shoulder length. A silk press should not cost over $100 for shoulder length.

Her shop had a nice environment, but I brought my daughter to get her hair done and when we got to her appointment on time, she had someone else in the chair and wasn't ready to start on my daughters hair until almost an hour later, never botheredto reach out and let me know even though I was in communication with, while waiting I had to asked for the television to be turned because of what I felt to be inappropriate content for a kid, the show was about marriage, sex, them going into blind marriages and she's only 11. She did her hair well but I also asked about her cutting my son's hair to which she asked if they were black, why does the color of the skin matter if you cut hair, but anywho, I confirmed they were and she asked if I wanted graphics in their hair, to which I said no just a simple cut and lining up, she said yes she could because thats how she cuts her own son's hair. I paid her in advance to cut my husband's hair and when he gets to his appointment she says she doesn't cut black men's hair or facial hair 🤔 😒 😐 what is cutting white hair vs black hair, craziest thing I ever heard, flat out told him she doesn't cut black men's hair after already taking my money to cut his hair without telling me she "only cuts white men hair" and then took his money from him for a haircut so double paid crappy job on his haircut and claims to only cut white hair even though it doesn't say that on her website 😒...I thought we as a society were pass this I can understand styling certain hair textures but a hair cut really!! I would never go back to her, never bothered to call to give the money back either.

I saw her page on Booksy and TikTok and was very impressed with her work. She seemed like a nice lady and I have been looking for a new place to get my hair done. However, the service I received was not great. Her response times were highly unprofessional and she fails to respond sometimes. I am grateful she offered to do my hair on her day off but then she tried canceling on me 3hrs before the service, mind you I had already taken my hair out and was ready for it. When I got there, she was late and wasn’t even there. She dyed my bundles that same day even though I bought them a week in advance. When she got there, she didn’t seem enthusiastic at all about doing my hair, and I felt quite uncomfortable to talk to her. But I tried, her responses weren’t up to par. Her and I discussed what I wanted prior to the service on messenger and she failed to do it at all. When I mentioned getting my curls she said there was no time, even tho the entire appointment she was talking on the phone, going on her phone. I spent so much money on a service where i didn’t even get what I wanted and when I tried messaging her she left me on read. I honestly recommend not coming here

I drove 1.5 hrs to come to this specific salon. I have been looking for so long for someone like Benesa. She is very knowledgeable on different hair types and did an amazing job on my curly/thick hair. She even recommended natural hair products based on my hair goals, which I’m very excited to try. Not to mention she is so kind and professional. You will not be disappointed!

I must say the salon is clean, neat and well organized. Everything here is so beautiful and relaxing. The customer service is amazing. The owner Benesa has a beautiful soul. She’s very caring and welcoming. She listened well and we had great conversations. This is my first time getting a wig install, but she was professional and did my hair in a timely manner. She made me feel welcomed. She was very gentle with my hair as well, and mind you, I have thick 4c hair so you know it tangles. But she made sure to take her time combing it, never once did I feel she was yanking on my hair (this is very important to me because I’ve been traumatized from past experiences). You can tell she cares about natural hair and she is compassionate about her work!! The wig lace is transparent lace so the lace was hard (I learned my lesson and will get an HD lace next time), I give her credit because she laid that thing. She knows what she’s doing and she does it very well. Would definitely recommend.

Had an amazing experience here! Benesa truly went above and beyond and absolutely killed it on my 80’s perm! I have a hard time finding salons that are willing to do this type of look, but she didn’t question it or judge me at all for it! I felt very comfortable and cared for the entire time, and she even recommended some great products for me to use to maintain my style! 100% only getting my perms done by her now! 🙂
