Lost my grandmothers hearing aids during the couple days she stayed here.

Plus now they have been giving us such a hard time replacing them. Every time we follow up they keep saying they’re trying to investigate it. I’m not sure what needs to be investigated. Investigate what? More like just dragging your feet. It’s that or they don’t even return our calls.

We keep telling them we need it in a timely manner, as my grandmother is very hard or hearing. But that doesn’t matter to them. Instead of taking responsibility they just handed it off to insurance to have them deal with it which will take even longer. On top of that we have to bring my grandmother to the doctor for the hearing aid fittings, it’s hard for us to get days off to do that on top of it being hard to transport her.

Only reason this place is getting 2 stars is because the people who take care of the patients are really nice and took good care of my grandma. However, management if you are reading this you need to find another job.

Really liked the docs during my 2 visits and no wait.

The billing department is another matter.

They didn't know how to bill the Veteran's Administration. They aren't even supposed to talk to veterans about bills. I got them on a 3-way call with the VA so they knew the procedure to submit a bill.

My reward for hand holding them with the VA: letters threatening collections action for the past 3 months.

UPDATE: You will get multiple bills from multiple providers if you use this facility. None know how to properly bill the VA or TRICARE. Many billing services will call and leave garbled messages. There is no way to reach back to them to solve problems. Each will repeat the same errors because they are independent.

The supposed billing manager is Doreen Rodriguez. Doreen is some sort of financial manager at Seton who will claim that Seton has nothing to do with these billing services. This is a lie. They are subcontractors of Seton and she has contact info for all of them. She is simply to lazy to do her job and assist.

If you want to waste hours of your time on billing issues this is your place.

Injured my foot in a weekend accident that required a lot of stitches. As it was bleeding quite badly, I called to be certain the Seton Coastside facility was open to handle this type of emergency. They assured me that an emergency physician was on duty around the clock. I was in and out in a little over an hour. Staff was attentive and professional. Covid precautions were in place and my exposure to others was limited to staff actively treating me. It was my first ever visit to Seton Coastside and I am very appreciative that this facility exists on the coast given other emergency care facilities are at least 40 minutes away.

This hospital will grossly overcharge for emergency room services. Out of an abundance of caution, I brought my daughter there at 4am due to suspected food poisoning, along with another member of her Girl Scouit troop on a troop trip from Louisiana. They basically gave my daughter some quasi-Gatorade electrolytes and medicine and had her rest for an hour, and are chraging $2700 for this minimal service. OUTRAGEOUS! And they refuse to correct the bill even though they charged the other girl only about $600 and she was the one that needed more service, including blood tests. WHEN IN DOUBT, DO NOT GO TO THIS HOSPITAL. We would have been better off driving 15 miles into San Francisco and finding some other hospital or clinic, or waiting out their stomach problems. RIDICULOUS CHARGES.

My 11 year old boy hurt his finger on a plyer goofing around. Just to be cautious, we took him in to the nearest facility. Just to make sure nothing was broken or sensation lost. They took us in very quickly. With a splint, and light first aid given, and overall assessment, nothing was broken. This is pretty much the only facility in the local coastal community, I'm so glad they are there. They can't provide major emergency services, but they are open 24/7, and they have a doctor on staff.

I went to get my cough/ fever checked out and the doctor was running around acting weird. They only talked to me for a few minutes and charged 1,430.00 for the visit.

Was visiting from out of town and needed immediate care with pain issue. The staff, from the registrar to the nurse to the doctor, were professional and compassionate. Plus I had a very little wait time considering I needed to use the emergency room! Thanks to all!

Was in town on vacation, no car, had an issue come up in the middle of the night requiring a test to be conducted prior to getting antibiotics. I hated spending my last day of vacation in the hospital but they got me in and out in 20min and everyone was incredibly nice! Seriously best hospital experience I’ve ever Had!
