Don't forget this location offers more than a hair and cosmetology academy. There is a small well stocked hair/wig store inside as well. It sells to the public and offers hair supplies, jewelry, sunglasses, make up etc. Conveniently located on the corner of Magnolia and Huntington on the same side as Starbucks near Marshalls. I highly recommend it. The service is welcoming. I bet the student stylist and barbers would be happy to assist you with installs or any hair styling needs. Parking is limited. But, it is worth a short walk. The prices are notably competitive.

I'm writing this review not only to start a conversation about shopping as a woman of color, but also to highlight the behaviors of businesses that create an environment that can be traumatic for people who want to take their time while shopping.

I called prior to coming in to make sure that the human hair wig-topper was available at this establishment and that it was the same one I wanted to replace for my 89-year-old mother. My mother and I entered the store and were greeted wonderfully by the young man at the front. We were escorted to the back of the store to look at the product in question. In the back, there is a vanity mirror along with a variety of products that we inquired about. I pulled about four toppers from the wall, and I noticed a woman repeatedly appearing halfway from a back room as we looked through the products around the corner of the room. She never made her presence known to support us as shoppers, but only to sneak into the periphery to infer that we were up to something and then retreat back into the back room. I know we are in a recession and that crime is extremely prevalent during these times, but this sort of behavior is inexcusable.

I understand the necessary precautions needed to secure products within a retail establishment. Just know that many women and men enter establishments without bags or purses to avoid this type of policing behavior.

I've shopped at your store before and have sung your praises about the stock, variety, and educational aspects of your business. I was just disheartened to experience this with my elderly mother, with whom I'm trying to create lasting memories of delightful experiences together as opposed to negative ones.

Again, I support your business, but maybe this can be brought into the conversation within customer service and best practices. Blessings to you.

Usually everyone is super professional and kind here. But sadly, the person today at the register was so short tempered, rude, and micro aggressive. Maybe she was having a bad day but she looks extremely unhappy in general. I will continue to support this small business but hopefully Emma the rude cashier remedies her attitude

The owner is a lovely lady ! She was very helpful, the store is clean and tidy, full stock of products and lots of super fun kanekelon hair colors to choose from. I’ll definitely be coming back !

Be careful my husband had the police called on him by the owner over her believing that he was rude to one of her lying employees.
My family and I have spent thousands of dollars in her store and salon she has cameras in her store and knows exactly what happen calling the police was a harsh thing she did I didn't know she was so cold hearted.
A few day's later her and the lying employee saw my husband at Starbucks right across the street from her business and Keisha and her lying employee tried to talk to him and he was not having it for one both of them seem like trouble Ya'll called the police on my husband over a lie I hope you get some serious training for yourself and your employees they are very rude and nasty and for you to be an owner of these businesses you should be ashamed of yourself taking folks money then calling the police over a lie there are two sides to every story.

Had an amazing experience here! I’m getting my hair braided for the first time and had no idea what I needed. They helped me pick the hair and find the right color and also the amount to get. She also gave me some tips for the braiding process and also recommended a edge control. Such a wonderful shop! Def recommend
