Smokey's Jerky & Candy Co

This is, so far as I can tell, the best beef jerky that's being sold anywhere in the country right now. I've sampled countless slabs of jerky from all over the nation, and this place simply does it better than the rest. One tip for everyone is to put the jerky into a plastic bag ASAP, or ask the staff to vacuum seal some for you (especially if you're ordering a pound or more.) It's perfectly fresh when you buy it (every time), but it does dry out quickly in the mountain air. The wonderfully friendly staff is also willing to let you sample to your hearts content before you buy, which is *such* an amazing perk of visiting this place. If you live here, or if you're visiting, and you love jerky, this place is a must-visit for you.

Knowledgeable guy running the place! The shop needs some TLC but their goods are great. $16.50 for a pound of candy and $58 for a pound of jerky.

If you LOVE peppered jerky this is the best in the world and i terribly miss driving through Baker to get a fresh bag. For years we have been loyal Smokey's fans and their customer service is superior to any other I've experienced. Look at those beautiful peppercorns. I can not wait!!! I've been coming here for years. For us, if we go to Big Bear this is a mandatory stop. Lots off jerky flavors and options. You can sample and they are very nice and helpful. To complete the experience you can explore the candy section which has also lots of options for all preferences.

Just wow!!! Since I was a little girl my family and I have always made this a stop for us while visiting BB. Now that i'm older not only do we still come, but I bring my friends here and their kids. Not only do they have the BEST beef jerky i've ever tasted, but the service is AMAZING!!! Today, my cousin and I spent the day fishing and it was 5:31pm and I realized we almost forgot to go! I called to see if they were open and even though they closed today at 5:30pm the AMAZING gal who answered the phone waited for us to race over there and get a couple pounds of jerky. Thank you guys so much for always providing A++++ service and amazing quality jerky. Catch ya next time.

The customer service is amazing here! The family and I went to visit Big Bear and we wanted to check out the store. I am a little apprehensive with Jerky, the girl who was at the shop was very nice and asked if I wanted to try a sample. I am glad I did! She gave a generous portion to me and my husband (I think they do this on purpose to get us to buy more, knowing their Jerky is THE BEST EVER, ha ha ha... it worked!!) We loved it! The freshness of the Jerky is THE BEST, and since I couldn't make my mind up, ended up leaving with more than we planned. Now, months later, I want some more but it's a good 4 hours from where I live. So glad they have to option of online ordering! All their flavors are amazing but we like the Sweet Garlic and Whiskey BBQ the best! The stuff we buy at the stores... forget about it. The only time I look at that stuff now is when I am craving Jerky and remember we can simply order online. So worth the shipping for freshness! The Stuff found at regular stores cannot compete with Smokey's Beef Jerky. They have tons of other stuff too like Candy, Fruits and nuts, and Coffee. So cool to offer those other things too. We usually go during the Winter months and love to stock up on things from this store to give out for Christmas treats to Family and Friends. =)

Ive never actually been to the store. But have purchased COUNTLESS orders of beef jerky from this store and it is ALWAYS A SUPERB pack!! Never a miss! Personal favorites are Hot Hickory and Hickory packs!! Best Beef Jerky spot around! The reason for the 3 stars atmosphere is again just because ive never been to the store, all orders i have got from online website.
