I highly recommend not bringing your boat for any repairs to this establishment.
We brought our boat to have the outdrive repaired. When we picked up our boat two weeks later, it was parked across the street from the shop with the engine cover off and it was raining. The boat was never repaired, even though Tyler said it was.
I requested an invoice over an over via text, and no response. 750.00 down the drain.

Saw a ad for a used outboard motor that said ran great . Sent a text to tyler and he responded saying yes, he still had the motor. We went and looked at it. Tyler told me it had a 1 year warranty. He would install it, and I'd be so happy with it and it would only take 2 or 3 days. 3 months later motor still don't run right I've let him try to fix it a couple of times. Plus he told me that the engine cover to this was being repainted and new stickers..... But I still have yet seen the proper engine cover for this motor. Tyler agreed to refund my money if I brought the motor back. Well, I've been trying to bring the motor back to him. He will not respond to phone calls. Or text anymore. After repeated. Canceled dates by him.
We let him know that we would take every legal action possible to get my money back. I would not recommend this place to my worst enemy. Buyers, beware and I definitely would not let him work on my boat if I was you ......
So ...I am going to respond to what he had to say. I love how I'm a cookbook mechanic LOL , but anyways, to this tune up that I did when I got the motor from him. It had Mitch match, spark plug wires on it and spark plugs that were never tightened. So I went to CDI. Website. And found the correct spark plug wires and the spark plug numbers that they recommended. So that's what I installed. . This man is again acts like I brought him a motor that did not run. No, that is not the case. I went there. Excuse me, we went there to purchase a motor that ran that he guaranteed run . It has NEVER ran correctly from day one I let him try to fix it. I saw that he was unable to do so. He said if I was not happy that he would give me my money back. I did not demand anything. I told him that I was done and that I wanted my money. You back. He started to get loud and he's twice as big as me and I just looked at him and said that I was not scared of him. He told me that I better leave his premises before. He loses his cooli. Never once threatened or got loud with this. Man, that does not get me anything. Especially when I'm in the right
AGAIN:. I went there to purchase a running motor .( that's supposedly was supposed to run beautifully.) I did not go there to have something fixed so he can say whatever he wants. And yes, I will demand my money now . That's why I have a lawyer. And that's why we will be going to court and we will let the judge figure this out.And then once I win my court case I will come back on here and I will show you all the proof that he is a scammer a rip off a con artist and this shop takes comet to your boat to get rid of the greasy fingerprints from all over it and this is also how he installs fuel pumps ( pic below ). If you know anything about working on anything, this is not correct. I HAVE 250 PAGES OF TEXT BETWEEN ME AND THIS MAN. AND SEVERAL PHOTOS AND VIDEOS OF HOW THIS MOTOR IS SUPPOSEDLY SUPPOSED TO BE A GOOD RUNNING BOATMOTOR AND IT IS NOT.

Purchase a running motor from him, he said we would be very happy with it runs great and he installed it . It never ran couldn't take the boat off the trailer from day 1 . He claimed he would fix it and get it running gave him chance after chance never ran for a good running motor . I said I was done please just take the motor back and give me my money after failed attempts of getting together to get my money back on his side . He won't give me my money back so I can give him his NON RUNNING MOTOR. Would you please just give me my money back you can have your motor. It's not that hard

I purchases a 20 foot alumaweld four years ago. A year later I took the boat to a local vendor for a tuneup. Paid near a $1000. The boat just never ran well. A year later I heard from some relatives about T&H because they take their boats there, so I took the boat to Tyler. Within two days he called and said the. boat was done. I took it out and it ran like a new boat for the next two years. This month (March 2004) I took the boat in to T&H as it had been sitting for a year as my wife and I did the snow bird thing. I called Tyler and he said I could bring the boat in on Saturday.... a couple days later he called and told me the carburetors needed to be cleaned as I didn't drain them of fuel before we left. Three days later he told me the boat was ready. It runs great. I can't say enough good things about T&H.. He is very professional and I highly recommend that you take your boat there

I would give negative if I could. 2600 dollars and my boat was never fixed. I just gave up after they had it for the full summer. They even destroyed my spare tire, running over it with a tow motor. It was never replaced.

I’ve had a few mechanics try to fix my 77 Johnson. Most places won’t touch them. The last guy I had work on it put on the wrong lower end. It was a real headache because of the year of the motor. The motor runs better than it ever has.

T&H took it in and knew immediately what needed to be done. He is incredibly knowledgeable and works quickly and always kept me in the loop.

I’d give them a 6 star if I could. I don’t know why all these other people are trash talking. Maybe they just have unrealistic expectations and don’t know how to maintain an engine. Hands best boat mechanic.

HORRIBLE quality. Traded for a motor he had on hand, promised numerous completion dates and I ended up doing my own repo to get it back. Motor still didn’t run right and forced to repair it on my own. He needed a part off of one of my motors for it but he ended up not needing it. However he helped himself to all the other electronics off it and gave it back to me with missing hardware and parts. 10/10 do not recommend. Not even if I was desperate.
