Matt was the best! New to skiing and he was super kind and informative! Not only did he help me with all of my gear, but he checked in with me when I returned my ski supplies and asked how everything went! Gave me some super helpful tips and tricks! Buy this man a beer and give him a raise! 🙂

The good folks at the Alpineer in Crested Butte did us right, as always. I wanted to try telemark, and amazingly, the Alpineer had the gear for me to rent. Over the course of the week, I interacted with 5 different team members, and every one of them was knowledgeable, very helpful, and super encouraging. Bring your business here! And free the heel.

Not sure what happened but came in with my wife to rent some skis. Everything seemed OK until we where literally in the mountains about to ski when I realized they didn't even bother to fit my boots to my skis. Wasted 30 minutes of ski time going to a store to fix the issue. This is just basic stuff that they didn't do it I was really disappointed. Will probably find a different rental place from now on

Update: got a call from the owner after he saw the review and he was extremely nice and helped me get the issues I had rectified. Based on this I am willing to give them another shot since he went above and beyond to help me.

Our rental experience at Alpineer, whether for mountain bikes in Autumn or backcountry ski gear in Winter/Spring, has always been great. The team is knowledgeable and quick, and the equipment is up to date and in good condition. Their in-town proximity, range of cool things to buy to augment your adventure, and a range of size rental packages, has allowed us to get our kids into both mountain biking and uphill skinning. It is a nice place to browse as well!
