We bought a loaf of sourdough bread,a Basque cake, and a Strawberry Rhubarb pie- lette. All of them were amazing. The pastries were beautiful and could have been from a Paris patisserie. The sourdough bread was incredible. We were there on a very busy Saturday. The staff was friendly and efficient. Definitely worth the trek to Torrington.

This place!!!! What a find! We were on a road trip and planned a pit stop in Torrington for a mid morning break. We saw the sign and decided to give it a go. The smell is so amazing. They have so many choices, both savory and sweet. The best croissant I’ve had outside of Europe. The lemon tart was divine. The apricot danish was like nothing we’ve had anywhere else. This bakery is the real deal. Be sure to stop in there if you are in the area. It’s worth the trip.

It's quaint exterior hides amazing and delicious baked delicacies inside. We stopped for breakfast and had a sunrise, which is croissant mastery with quiche baked inside, and a cream filled brioche, but they have a wonderful assortment of choices. The staff are very friendly and the pri e is reasonable for what you get. Highly recommend!

Excellent baked goods, assuming you can find them.

When I arrived on Saturday around 9 a.m., I was already out of several items. I’m unsure if they make everything fresh daily or the day before, but if you get there early, you’ll have a better chance of finding what you’re looking for.

The scones and chicken pot pies were terrific, though!

When in the area, definitely stop here! Everything they make is terrific, especially the pastries! We have gone to dozens of bakeries across 34 states, and this place had some of the best baked goods we've had in a long time! The breads are also excellent, not to mention generously sized at reasonable prices! Our loaf lasted several days, even being sliced, and provided great sandwich material for our road trip. We will absolutely return on our next journey through the area!

Thought I had just stepped into a European bread and chocolate shop. The aroma of the two topped off with coffee over the top wonderful. The chocolates are worth the price, nothing like this in the Front Range. I could have eaten a tray of the chocolate turtles.

Absolutely fantastic. Worth the drive from San Diego. Loaded up with goodies galore. I had Chicken pot Pie, Terri had French Potato soup. Both DELICIOUS 🙂

Food: Impossibly light/airy sourdough. Amazing. Can't recommend strongly enough. The family ravaged through that loaf of bread like a pack of starving wild dogs on the Serengeti.
Service: Fast, friendly, helpful. We asked a few questions about things and received answers with a smile and with patience.
Atmosphere: Fantastic. Beautiful wood beams, clean floors and bathroom, great presentation.

Before this review sounds like it was written by a relative, I'll say the seating inside was a bit limited, but there was also seating outside and it was adequate.
