Chinwendu was the sweetest - she was the only one in store on a Sunday afternoon and despite the crowd, was attentive and helpful. She was knowledgeable about the available range and warranty conditions. She diligently cleaned up the last piece of a laptop bag we bought and the monogram for the luggage was meticulously done. I was sceptical that the outlet would be worth the trip since we visited the full price store just prior, but this trip was definitely worth it! Do note that most of the luggage in the store is made specifically for the outlet though and the handles on those seemed flimsier than the one I bought, which was the only model from a full price outlet. So YMMV! While it was larger and a different colour from what I'd have chosen on my own, I'm still incredibly happy with it! Thank you Chinwendu!

I have recently been turned onto Tumi and like to shop here because of the big discounts! I had purchased a bag online and they did not put the initials on the front like usually. So the clerk did them for me as well as for the new small toiletry kit I purchased that day. That was nice of her!

Store was well organized and clean. Sherrie promptly greeted us and gave us space to browse, then did a great job re-engaging to make sure we saw all the available options. She was a consummate retail professional who knew the store backwards and forwards, knew all of the details of each piece of luggage, and skillfully highlighted the best available deals. Her work could easily have been recorded as a training session on how to best interact with a shopper and it was such a welcome (an unusual, these days) experience that we immediately commented on it when we left the store. Back to the products, the selection was good and the discounts substantial so we felt it was a worthwhile trip to the outlet store, and successful as we found a new set of luggage. I’ve been a Tumi owner for years and years, having shelled out premium prices for bags, backpacks, luggage and accessories believing it was a solid product. No more. Never again. Their absent and frankly shocking lack of standing behind their products has proven to be a solid reason to never spend money on any Tumi product again.
I purchased a large hard side suitcase from the Thornton location in 2019 just months before COVID shut down travel. I used the case a few trips in 2019, hardly at all 2020 but again started using it in 2021 and noticed the straps never stayed attached to the fasteners because the screws would fall out. Tumi told me just to fix it myself and use loctite on the screws. Ok, not a great customer service but I did it. Still didn’t resolve the problem so I just had to keep a screwdriver handy to reattach the straps about every third use. Then earlier in 2022 on an overseas trip, the clip bracket that holds the hangers in the fold over compartment of the suitcase completely ripped out if the lining which is nothing other than terrible construction and substandard materials. I returned confident to Tumi to have them repair or replace the bag. I even (foolishly now looking back) purchased another bag as a gift for a graduating senior to use for college while in the store dropping off my large bag for repair.
Well after waiting a few weeks to process my defective bag, customer service informs me they cannot fix it. So I asked that they replace the bag and they said no. Even though the pandemic prevented travel and use of the bag, they said the bag was almost 3 years old so they would not stand behind it. But they wanted me to buy another new bag and offered a fractional discount. I was shocked!!
I’ve bought so many Tumi products and their treatment for a clearly defective and poorly constructed bag was to push the have me buy more How shallow is this company?
I said what if I take the discount and you can send me back my bag and I’ll use it without the straps and clips. THEY REFUSED!! They said if I accepted a discount (meaning I still had to pay over $500 for a new bag) then they would not give back my old bag. It had to be given up. What Since when do you hold my defective bag as leverage trying to get me to shell out $$$$$ for a new one and then refuse to even let me use the defective bag for whatever I want?
Their customer service was horrible!! I tried to reason with them, the refused. I finally said send me back the defective bag. Keep your ridiculous discount and you have just convinced a full time international traveler for work to NEVER buy or recommend Tumi again. Their price is ridiculous for an inferior product and horrible customer service. They lost a long time customer who had bought over 10 bags and accessories to this point.
Tumi is a sham inferior product relying on marketing and brand. Not product or service.

They have "good deals" for their luggage lines that don't sell well at Flagship locations, but its never the most desirable stuff. Tumi bags are excellent, but there are several levels of Tumi products. This is where you will find their lower end stuff that is still quite expensive for the average person. Our associate was kinda just making stuff up as she went, but could tell she was new. Tough times we are in and everyone is facing challenges
