Great haircut! Val is excellent - her 44 years of experience cutting hair leads to great conversations and even better haircuts. She doesn’t cut women’s hair (unless it’s super, super short), so be aware. Next time I’m in Buena Vista, I’ll be back here to get my haircut. Highly recommended.

P.S. Prices as of 8/1/19 were: $22 for men, $16 for children, $12 for beards, and $25 for longer hair. Cash only!

LOVED my haircut. I have thick curly hair that can sometimes be difficult to manage, but I showed Val a few photos of what I wanted and she gave one of my favorite haircuts to date! So happy to find who I will be using going forward.

Val was very nice and she set up a nice Barber chair and nice Barber haircut. She had actually shared a lot of her going on with the business as she had had it for many years. We were happy as we left and we were only waiting for her to finish one person before we were attended to.

Tucked in a really cool old store front with a western theme. Val is an amazing barber. Her genuine personality creates a very welcoming atmosphere. Went for a haircut but stayed for the conversation. Can't say enough about this amazing person.

An authentic barber shop experience awaits you at Val’s, with a truly rustic appearance dominated by artifacts of Val’s many journeys across the globe. There’s a story behind just about every piece of memoir here if you’re so inclined to ask.

With several years of experience at her shop here in town and over 40 years as a barber overall you won’t be disappointed. I received a precision haircut in addition to a stress-melting neckline shave with a straight razor after an ample dousing of hot lather from the old school hot lather dispenser. Will definitely be back!

Val did a great job with my cut. her shop is small and well seasoned, providing a genuine Rockies Barbershop feel. Her professionalism and care stand out well. I wouldn't go anywhere else for my trims.

This place is awesome. Old western building with the classic barbershop feel and decor. The atmosphere is very bubbly and welcoming. As for the barber, she is so sweet, loves to chat and is amazing at cutting hair. This is the best barbershop I have ever been to and will be making the 2 hour drive here just to get my hair cut.

She made me feel uncomfortable and is not good with kids. She made me questioning her competency the way she handled everything with her actions. If you have loved one with any disabilities do not bother using this business. Very ignorant and disrespectful!
