I have natural curl in my hair and prefer wearing it curly/wavy. However, I always had to “work hard” for my curls. I had to use multiple products and scrunch it a lot. I also have a different texture in the front of my hair than the back so the back of my hair always pulled straight within a day or two no matter what styling techniques I used. I saw Carlee at Voodoo for a Curl Cult Perm and she did a great job! It was super curly at first but now that I’m 3 months out, I’ve settled into a new styling routine and am super happy with the results. The texture is more even around my head and no straight pieces in the back. It was a little more expensive than I anticipated (hourly charge) but it came out beautifully and takes less work. Would definitely recommend Carlee if you’re considering a perm!

Caitlin (@caitlinscolors) nailed it! I've been to Voodoo a few times over the years, but this was my first cut with Caitlin. She was so friendly and professional and I felt like she really listened to me without judgment. I asked for something between Sabrina Carpenter and a wolf cut, while maintaining volume and length, and she understood the assignment 🙂 The appointment was thorough but quick and the prices can't be beat (for Boulder at least)! Highly recommend!

Just had another amazing visit to Voodoo with Ashley and Carlee. Ashley took a lot of time understanding what style and color I was hoping for and made me feel welcome and relaxed. I absolutely love the result and will definitely be back! Thanks for making me feel great, Ashley! Also, Carlee cut and permed my teenage son’s hair and he is so incredibly happy with how it looks. I cannot reccomend Voodoo enough. Ashley and Tyler, you are my heroes. Prior to coming to Voodoo, I had approached another salon about getting my hair back to blonde from a very strong home pink dye job. They asked me to use three box color strippers on my hair, which left me with chunks falling out, extremely damaged hair, and then refused to take my appointment and help. When I came in to Voodoo, Tyler and Ashley gave me faith that I would get back to better hair, told me that it was possible, and then delivered tenfold. I cannot express my gratitude enough in how comfortable they made the entire process, how much I was able to place my trust in them due to their professionalism, and how much I appreciate what they did. Tyler helped me pull my hair up from the starting point, and Ashley has done wonders with my cut and with getting the color of my hair back to the natural color that I want. I almost cried. This whole thing has really impacted my confidence and I can say without question I would not have achieved the hair that I have now without their help. Their entire office, from their front desk team to their stylists, make scheduling and service seamless, comfortable, and relaxing. IF I HAVE NOT MADE IT CLEAR ENOUGH, Voodoo is a godsend, and it is a true gem.
