You want to buy from these folks. It's always good to support small businesses. I live in Colorado, originally from Michigan so support Michigan businesses is a win for me. These guys went above and beyond to make a potentially bad situation good.

I first called the store to ask some product questions about size and fit. I spoke to a nice and very helpful lady. After that, I ordered the pictured boots online. They got lost somewhere in the Denver UPS facility. So I contacted Zak and explained what I thought was going on. His email address was on my order confirmation. Yes, you get to deal with real people that care.

Zak went into action, investigated the situation and offered me a few options. Immediate refund or ship out a replacement set of boots. He also sent a nice discount coupon for the hassle for future shopping. Also, he was very communicative and kept me informed of resolution steps when they occurred. The boots arrived and fit as promised.

It's nice to see customer service is still alive and well. You won't get this level at a big box store. Well done to to the people at Wind Rose North Outfitters!

My wife and I shop at Wind Rose North every time we visit Menominee. Specifically, WRN carries better quality brands that aren't available at mass market or Amazon retailers: Patagonia, Kuhl, Oboz (shoes), Danner, Keen, and LaCrosse high-top rubber-insulated boots. Additionally, Zak has done a great job outfitting the fishing tackle department, including live bait. The shop's footprint isn't large, but it has a great selection of everything you need.

Wind Rose North is a community asset. No longer is it necessary to shop online at LL Bean or Eddie Bauer and risk buying the wrong size when I can drive a few miles to Wind Rose North and try on shoes and clothes to make sure they fit. Wind Rose North features a variety of manufacturers and styles, and has a knowledgeable staff.
