My 72-year-old father, a prostate cancer patient, visited DirectDerm in Manteca for the first time. Despite traveling from Tracy, he was only informed that photos of his back would be taken, with no doctor or nurse consultation offered—something he could have done online. Issues included lack of communication about the absence of medical staff, poor restroom facilities, discourteous behavior regarding access to an external restroom, and a lack of consideration for seniors or disabled patients who travel from afar.

I called the office to reschedule an appt and I waited 27 minutes for someone to answer the line, just for the receptionist to answer the phone, ask for the name and DOB and place me on hold again! HOW RUDE! she then came back on the line minutes later to offer me an appointment with the wrong provider after specifically telling her, I wanted an appt with Dr. Wong.
She then says “oh okay” and places me on hold again!! Who trains these people? They don’t listen, and they can’t even answer the phone in a decent amount of time. Right now I’m on hold! And it’s been 48 mins by now while I’m making this review. Totally unacceptable! The call center needs to be dropped! They are really making this practice look awful!

First experience with the medical assistants Amy and Anayeli was wonderful. They explained the photo online process and helped me in the office to complete which I never done this online but very easy process. Updating my review due to second visit at the clinic was good with knowledge doctor I forgot name but had french accent and she is very nice. Staff and doctor reason I would come back for care here. Really nice people overall. Thank you All for addressing my concerns.

I just recently saw Dr. Wong for another visit. My experience is always great. Dr. Wong is truly one of the best doctors that I have ever had for a dermatologist and seen here at DirectDerm. He is so knowledgeable at what he does best. He listens to all my concerns, and he cares about his patients. He always goes above and beyond. I wish there were more doctors like him. His staff is wonderful and very helpful too. They acknowledge you when you come in for a visit. Greet you with a smile. I love that!
